Thread: Focused Discussion: Artisan Wishlist
More container type things. Storage Shed, becasue the vendor just ticks me off. Something large enough to put my john deer in.....space issues....maybe I'm just a pack rat but you could add a few teraflops to the storage.
For the few of us that are truly Master Artisans, we need more items in the Master branch that would be in demand and sell well.
My ideas are for powerups for medical droids, power ups for combat droids, power ups for armor etc etc. Being a Master artisan is really worthless right now. The only things we can sell in game are droid batterys and power ups. There is a small, very small market for the Power Cores, GP mod and Memory Mods and most of the people that need them are already master artisans.
I would like to see items that are high credit items so we can begin to make some real money in this profession.
Control Units, Micro-sensor suites, etc all need stats in the description. As it is, you can't sell high-quality components for a fair price since any joker's low quality components look exactly the same. Likewise, when I buy Droid Storage Compartments from a DE, I don't know what I'm getting until I make that final build on a crafting station.
Recycling unit, for munching all your odd-sized resource lots into something usable -- maybe a 3-to-1 transaction resulting in Fiberplast units or a generic unsurveyable chemical.
Don't like the billboard idea. I always liked the relative lack of advertising in Star Wars.
* Stats display for master artisan components.
* Improved bazaar (particularly the Premium display, colors andtab size) - as mentionned in a previous post on the subject
what i want...
1. miner profession, some of the things listed in the harvestor focused discussion... i think this is going to become an issue once they start opening up more player cities... imagine all the possible land occupied by houses...
2. i like the lot rental idea... but it could cause a few problems, the person who's lots you are useing wants a larger house, or wants to place a factory, ect...
3. i new interface terminal for the harvestors, one that doesn't keep closeing after one option.
4. certs for the harvestors, like there is for weapons...
5. make master artisan something thats actully worth getting...
6. an interface that lets you see the status of your harvestors, not to add power/money, change resource, or retrieve from anywhere other than at the harvestor...
i am against the global survey, longer rage survey, droids that do the maint or surveyect... yes it takes time to survey for the best things, highest concentration, ect... but look at the graphics that Sony put into this game, take a sec to smell the roses... a pencil and paper work just fine for listing what the quailites of things you find... artisan as a stand alone profession only works (as far as i've seen) if you sell the resources, not the crafted items (i've sold survey tools, fishing poles, and harvestors)...

I'm concerned about the amount of new art and craftables in the game being given only to Architects.
Perhaps there's an agreement that the Architects and Artisans can come to.
I think statues, crafting stations, merchant tents, and perhaps streetlamps, gardens, and some "luxury furniture" should be the domain of either a Master Artisan or a dual profession Master Architect / Master Artisan.
Players want more art in the game. They want indoor statues, mantle pieces, crafted paintings, and in general greater variety for making their new Town Halls and shops better decorated.
I've only been playing for about a week so must of the stuff in this thread is way over my head. I have been taking a ton of crafting missions and I would love to see some variety in what I'm crafting. Or at least get a different picture of the objects. It's kind of annoying that Feedback Controllers look like everything else that I'm crafting.

Im liking alot of these suggestions. I'm going to probably list some (or all) of what was already said, but it just adds more need for them ![]()
1) Surveying: Increased range 1k would be awesome. As someone said, a seperate datapad for surveying waypoints. Bringing back the rumored (in Beta) Miner profession. Im sure this would take off, the whole Artisan and more elite Artisan Professions all rely on top quality resources.
2) Skill Lines/Professions: As said above, Miner. Also, Vehicle Crafter/Mechanic.
Thats all I can think of for now, im sure I'll add more...
As a Master Artisan, I sell crates of MA Components on a specialized vendor alongside my Architecture vendor.... they don't move very fast, except to recurring customers. (And at only 5k for 25 (200 per) they're a pretty good deal!)
I love being a Master Artisan, but I'd like something substantial for being so. Elite classes don't have to get Master Artisan, yet with their Master box they can make things that sell for 100k credits+. I know Master Artisan is easier to get than Master Architect, Weaponsmith, Droid Engineer, Armorsmith, Chef, or Tailor... but MA has no independent items that make it worth getting. Most people that need MA items take the few extra boxes to Master the profession. We need a stand-alone item better than a birdcage! Here's a few ideas:
Mining Chisel: When equipped, increases the chance of 'rich samples' while hand mining. Decays .01% with every use, keeping chisels in demand and not a one time thing.
Miner's Satchel: 20 slot bag ONLY for resources. Items in the bag are 'weightless' and do not take up extra space, just the 1 slot for the bag. (like an equipped pack)
Deed for: Leveling Mechanism: When placed and powered this device levels the terrain slowlyin a certain radius depending on quality. (Speed also depends on quality) +Experimental Range +Experimental Effectiveness
Deed for: Small Storage Shed: Only holds 50 items. Lead-in to Novice Architect's small houses
Items that do not stand alone:
Vehicular Engine: Used to make speeders and land cruisers (if they don't implement them in MA fully). +Experimental Effectiveness determining speed of the vehicle. Poorly made engines can explode.
Large Craft Engine: Used to make starships (space expansion). Same experimentation as above.
I'd like to see the majority of these require a certain type of resource for one of their slots, so that not every Master Artisan can stock them, and certainly not all the time.
Signs for the sides of buildings.
I have a lot of "dead" space on my building and people can only see it's a shop when they approach the doorway. Being able to have a billboard/sign on the side of my building (which could then be "named") would be great.
It doesn't have to be an ad particularly "for" my shop. What I mean is it could be like the normal house signs, in that it's a standard/generic texture/animation, but when it's highlighted, the "name" I gave it would appear. At least that way players could see which buildings were shops and which weren't without having to be at the entrance.
Maybe with higher skills you could get animated holograms on your roof, but for now a simple flat billboard would do me.
