some more info on the tool bug I have mentioned over the page ... I have done some experimenting and it's not the clicking of the next button that was necessarily the problem, that may have been just co-incidence with the timing of the bug.


What I seemed to see during trying to nail this down today was that if you have a crafting window open in practice mode when another tool finishes it's practice run of an object, BOTH windows are shut down with the error message about crafting.


I started the first tool and simple opened the second tool and let the first one count down. When it reached the point where it would terminate, the second window closed and I got two 'crafting session finished' status messages.


I repeated the process but crafted like a demon and got to click the 'practice' button BEFORE the first tool was ready to finish. Both tools crafted just fine.


I verified this several times and it happened consistently.

I would just like to mention that the resource shift problem is not restricted to the mineral scanner, I have experienced the same problem with the chemical scanner, and not being able to sample areas at 90% concentration.

The factory I am using is apparently using up resources faster than it should. I had a schematic for an adhesive mesh trap placed in it, as well as enough resources to fully make 1000 of the little darlings. Alas, after making 108 of them, the factory errored out saying it had run out of resources. I checked, and sure enough, I had over 1.5 k of steel, enough Inert Petrochemical for the remainder of the run, and 6 bone. six?!? It started with well over 1.3k. So, I go to Anchorhead, purchase 2k of Bone, then run back and refill the ingredient hopper and restart the machine. Less than 2 hr later, the factory shuts down. Tells me again I am out of ingredients. So, I check, and sure enough, Plenty of Steel, lots of Bone, and no Inert Petrochemical. Two times down, and two different items getting used too fast. I play Naritus server exclusively, because I can't be bothered to run more than one character.


Is anyone else having this stupid problem? I can also confirm that on this server, the optional components do not show up in the crafting tools, regardless of which tool I use to do it, the general or the droid/weapon tool. Must have something to do with the last patch. Also, I remade all the tools I use to get their status up to 9.63 effectiveness. Apparently, the quality of tool has zero effect on whether or not you get more or less criticals.


Another weird thing. Seem to be finding large numbers of eggs in lairs, over and above the you find nothing or some creature sample. I have collected over 100 of the things in less than 24 hours of playtime, and thats when I am walking around and bother to check, which is not all the time. The amount of eggs varies too, from a low of 2 to a high of 7.

I just smacked my palm against my head. I made an error when calculating resource usage in a factory concerning its getting wasted quickly. I must be stareing at the screen to much. I recalculated and they work fine. DOH!



The other stuff in the post is fine.

It's not a factory bug it's a bio-engineer bug. Bio-engineers schematics dont' show up it seems

I'm experienceing problems with the Fireworks Show Package as well. I made one last night with 8 effects and it wouldn't launch at all. And I made a firework right after that and it would lunch just fine. Is there maybe a limit to how many effects it can handle before not launching? I'll attempt to make one tonight with one or two effects.

Regarding bug #2.


Unabe to sample resource for a period of time after it's appearance in a resource shift. Resource density reported as too low to sample regardless of the percentage.


8 CSR's have told me this is "normal" and "intended" please get a reason why other than "it's supposed to" as this is really starting to annoy me.


By the way it isn't 24 hours. it's 24 hours and a daily server reboot. I have been unable to collect a steel resource for 26 hours plus at the time of this posting.

After the last shift on Radiant My chemical extractors had nothing in the hoppers (as of Monday night)and I know this is impossible. I last gathered them Saturday night and it shifted out Monday morning. I should have something in them. BUT...My mineral harvesters also had a shift out, but my minerals were still in the hopper.


It might be a problem with just chemical extractors. This is my finding...

If a factory run causes the output hopper to exceed it's maximum limit of 100 items, it issues an internal error with a cryptic message. Though not shown on the UI, this now reduces the capacity of the hopper by one item. Next time the cap is at 99 items and so on. Each time you get this error message, the capacity is reduced by one more. Redeeding does not fix the bug, nor is there any other apparent way to clear it.

I know of 5 different factories effected by this bug, three belonging to other players. All of them are equipment factories, but I don't know if it effects other types too.

Just something here to add to the list. I'm not sure if this has ever been an issue with others in the past, but today I logged in, checked my many emails to find I had sold 171000 in goods. When I looked in my bank account so I could send the money to my partner, there was only 61005 sitting in the bank. Has anyone else experienced their funds missing when the vendor sells something?

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but it is aggravating me on a major level!


I have been grinding xp at my crafting station, currently I was working on repair tools....


3 items in a row I got 3 amazing successes (which we all know doesn't happen) during experimentation, however, the functionality rating did NOT increase AT ALL. It remained at 1.0 % making the items completely USELESS!
