Why would you even travel with a whole group in that thing, its so slow, mainly meant looking nice it would seem. Everyone probably has a swoop on this game, and if you dont, just buy one for 20k.

Because in PvP, you can roll up in a cheap Landspeeder, take a leisurely cruise around the city without zipping past everything, find someone who's Special Forces (or a group, preferably), then BAM!

One arrow on the radar makes the opposing forces think they have a straggler about to roll up. They start to move in. Suddenly one vehicle arrow on the radar turns into 7 Special Forces players of the opposite faction.

They're actually quite ingenious for this purpose.

I suspect the ability of such a "surprise" attack is what made the Devs drop it to 7 people. You are penalized 1 group member to be able to essentially explode out of one vehicle, clown car style, and bring the element of surprise to the battlefield.

That's been my perspective, at least.

they seem too slow to be much of a surprise...incoming raid group you can watch the big red dot slowly creep along your radar it would be better if it had big guns on the front or something heh

more useful in my experience tho is they do actually make it easier to get hunting groups moving from mission to mission faster rather than waiting for everyone to sit there and get a swoop out

hmmm I did a test with all the rides expet the flash speeder... set up a race droid and ran the track in every vehicle ( 13 waypoints with hills and sharp turns ) I ran the exact same time with the ab1, V35, xp38 and x34. So I wouldn't say its slower....It just feels slower becuase of the size.

8th person scouts ahead on a swoop, and has groupchat andgroup level bonus (if any)at his/her disposal.

Actually not a bad plan if used to its advantage.

Devs said at Fan Fest that there are a couple more land vehicles on the way and one is an 8-seater.

Honestly though, I don't see why people are complaining about one of the most fun new additions to the game. I can't stop laughing whenever a group of us hop in one and we start spamming any of the following:

"Mom! He's touching me!"

"Are we there yet?"

"I have to go to the bathroom."

"Get your hand of my lap!"

"I'll turn this thing around!"

"Don't make me come back there!"

"Where's the DVD player?"

"Does this thing come with a gun rack?"

And for those with the tiny little AB-1, go up and down the dunes on Tat and yell "Wheeeeeee!!!!" every time you go down one.

hehe. Good times.

The V-35 or "Gank Bus" is a brilliant addition to the game..

8 People in a group.. 7 in the V-35 and a Scout on a Swoop. In any situation, these are the ULTIMATE in combat transportation and SWG's Answer to the Humvee.

7 is ther perfect number because the scout on the swoop can relay intel to the group.. They rule.
