Thread: And the prices are real low!
from your last post it almost looks like you trying to pull of the pyrimid money trickle. you sell to three they sell to three you get a % of all sales. but i can be wrong that just what it looks like in the post. but your right. selling right now at a reasonable price even through the craze will allow you to continue to sell at the same price because your integrity will still be in place.
i appriciate to see another artisan like that.
about supplimenting on other sales RIGHT ON. you hit the head. we can make more than vehicles. but should we for the next few days? the answer is YES if we stop production of the other stuff the other stuff will be in high demand later and there will be no resources avail to build them. (just a thought: if we limit sales{the number of vehicles we sell} we can keep a higher price longer. so instead of mass selling at 200k limit sell at 75k and that will set a long term price, then no one will be undercut when we all need to sell at 5k just so people will buy them instead of just repairing their old one)
by the way what is the cost to repair?
And thats a total Joke that we have people out there just missing the whole thing up those bikes should go for at least 50k and we have the ones out there who do not think and ruin it for everyone , If there would of put any thought into it we all could of made some good cash but I will tell ya what these idiots selling them for 20k they will run out of the stuff to make it and then we can try and bring the price back up to where its suppose to be . I think its the kids again who do not think that they are ruining the market for all of us , I can not belive it 20k for a Bike and a Fricken Bird cost 25k to 30k what a joke , Some people has zero cents at all .

If you cant compete because someone is running a better business than your do you want us to cry for you?
i'm usually pretty quiet about these things, but...
YOU ARE AN IDIOT!
This guy isn't saying he can't hang i with these 2 meatheads who are selling for 18-20k per vehicle. He is saying that you'd have to be retarded to bother with it. Just the ferrous metal alone, on a swoop bike (6400) could be sold at 3cpu on the bazaar. It doesn't even matter if it's TOTAL crap metal, people will buy it....probably the same people that are selling vehicles for 18k each. I'll do the math for you, since you seem too inept to wrap your mind around this simple concept. 6400*3=19200cr. You can make 19200cr off of just the ferrous metals going into one of these swoop bikes. Why oh WHY would anyone bother selling for 18k per bike? Return customers? They're not going to remember who sold them the bike. You can't even stamp your name on the bike after it's been taken out of deed form. They'll either keep repairing it, or find the first person selling one the next time they need one.
To even suggest that it's good buisiness tactics to sell a finish product lower than you could simply sell the raw-unfinished goods goes against all logical means of buisiness. Anyway.....good luck, retard.
You might need to sit back and remember that this is a game..
.. and furthermore that many players already have more money than they know what to do with.
Well I experimented mine up to 85% reliability (I made about 25 vehicles during lunch). And I'd be a moron to sell these for 20K apiece.
I did however give 11 away to friends and guildmates =]
woovie postulated: give the customer a fair price ( good price ) and he will come back to you for another one..
On the contrary, when you're hawking your wares on the first day of vehicles in the city, and millions of people are trying to get at them as fast as they can, you're likely not going to be remembered.
Also, I'll wager many of the people grabbing these at 20-30k in town are flying 'em, crashing 'em, destroying 'em, and they're back buying one of the other vehicles from the next available hawker in town. Just looking for a car.
Im making plenty of sales. I sold harvesters I made 8 cpu on. I loaded the bazaar twice this morning. I was selling useless crap metal for 5 cpu. I did not have to stand around town at all spamming for sales.
Who is really making money? It takes 8000 resources to make a swoop. You can sell those resources on the bazaar for a minimum of 3 cpu. So that makes the minimum cost (in my opinion) on a swoop 24,000 credits. How is selling them for 20k Profitable? You would have made a minimum of 4k more just selling the resources. Most likely more.
I don't understand your math Dayln? Making a sell is worth nothing in itself. Repeat business? Maybe 2%.
How much much money does it cost you to get the resource?

Your opinion is a bit flawed. The minimum cost to produce the bike is solely based on your actual cost for the resources. Some people buy resources at 3cpu. Some people mine their own for FAR LESS. When it costs me .20 cpu for a resource, I can guarantee that I am making tons of profit selling a vehicle for 20k. If you don't want to take the time to make and sell an item, there is nothing wrong with that. Don't try to dictate our prices because you can make more money doing something else. Some of us enjoy crafting items and providing a particular service to our customers.
Piaras, I get it that you know nothing about business, you dont have to explain it to me ![]()
What I see now are several sucuessful people makeing lots of sales, and several unsucuessfull people making no sales and crying aobut it.
Which ones do you want to be?
A resource cost about 0.3 cr a unit to extract. Lots of profit at the price these guys are selling for.
Problem here is this:
Artisan 1 - Mines resources and rather sell 4/5 cpu on the bazaar (in it for the credits)
Artisan 2 - Buys his resources on the bazaar to make vehicles (trying, but not too bright)
Artisan 3 - Mines and uses his own resources to make vehicles (shows potential)
Which of these seems to be the REAL artisan?

Intelligence is not about giving answers, but asking the right question.
