Thread: Will vehicles be craftable?
Other place on forums said they are NPC vendor, like the bounty hunter seeker droids.
I feel that everything should have a vendor, or else nothing. Now, I actually lean towards a vendor for everything.
Reasoning:
1)Sometimes resources dry up and items are impossible to make
2)prices are out of the realm where a person can affored
3)vendor items would be at least only 75% if not 50% as effective as a basic player crafted item, and go up from there as a PC item is experimented on.
Also, I think it would be great if say an x-wing took a colaberative effort of people. A weaponsmith to make, duh, the weapons and an armorsmith for the shield, then a new profession that makes the hull of the ship and maybe or maybe not an engine engineer. so need 3-4 people to make one ship. Seems real to me. Can't imagine someong building a whole X-Wing from scratch.
Um, WRONG! Drinks at the cantina, bounty hunter droids.
First no one knows, if they do know it is likely to change, this is an MMORPG after all.

Indicates to me NPC purchased.
The nitemare of putting together a super star destroer.
1month of planning. $15
3 months of collecting resources. 100k credits.
watching you crit fail the final step? Pricless (for a rebel
)
Personaly I think that they should take up the worthless space in the second branch of architect. Customization does nothing but eat up XP to get to master.
Also, I have two things to say about crafting vehicles.
One, it would be really cool to play a mechanic.
Two, if they are player craftable they will be useless, probably will not get you from one city to the next. and there will be components that will be needed that cannot be crafted... If they are craftable there will be more bugs in it then a heap of trash. and forthe first two months no one will be able to build one that is actualy useable...
**thinks about his pokemon droid**
**thinks aboutthe harvesting mechanism that can't be crafted**
**thinks about the broken factories**
**thinks about the disappearing items in his pack**
yep, if they are player craftable they will be useless, but a cool deco to go outside your house.
where are you buying drinks at the cantina from npcs? im a part-time bartender, so i need to know if this is taking away from my business.
btw, come by the theed cantina for some quality beer and food.
The guy who hates droids, Wuther? in Mos Eisley. 5cr! each for pretty crappy drinks but fairly neat for newb i guess. Don't worry I don't think hardly anyone knows, you're business is assured. I sort of assumed there was a bartender in every cantinna, maybe my boy Wuther is the only one, so lonely.
Oh, I forgot this earlier, but NPC's also sell training, although that is a bit different
"This is a good thing as it will make them extra rare, I dont want to see EVERYONE on Landspeeders."
Rare, me no think so.
Several people will grind to get there in a a day or week. Mobs of people will then grind to get the insane amount of credits they are asking for. Then regular folk will have gotten the ability to craft'em, prices will come down, and people will be buying second landspeeders just to color coordinate with different outfits.
Unless there is a limited number *nothing* desired by players remains rare in a MMORPG. Esp. not things that are player craftable or player purchasable.
