Thread: Resigning as Correspondent
Jas,
I have read lots you have posted and learned from them. I am sorry that Artisans in this family could not treat you with respect, honor and love that you deserved. I hope your reassignment goes well but you will be missed by the Wookie toon known as Linanae.
Now to the others who made it hard on her you should be ashamed of yourselves. Paid employees are suppossed to take your garbage not volunteers who try to help you. They do it for the love of the game and betterment of it. So please do not PM,IM, email or flame the corespondants they are trying to help us with our issues.
/big wookie hug to you Jas
/big wookie foot to the ones who could not act as adults
PS maybe this started before the forums went to members which makes it easy to stop the behavior that was displayed to Jas. The damage has been done and it grieves me that you had to suffer Jas and I am sure the other corespondats if there is any have the same issues.
Jasarina, I'm very sorry to see you go. Thank you for all your hard work. I'm sorry that it wasn't appreciated by many out there.
Take care, Jaliss, we're really gonna miss you!
I'd like to thank you all for your kinds words and support. I canclled both my accounts this morning along with a detailed explantion to the devs as to why. I have lost my patience and Iam not having fun and I can't see paying for a game Iam not enjoying.
It is my hope to return with the Space Expansion and find a more stable game with a lot of great content. I really do think the game has a great design and that it has wonderufl potential I just belive it was released too soon and should have been in beta status longer.
I do want to add that other then the apparent communication problems I do belive the Devs are going a great job they just have too many things on their plate right now to address everything that needs fixing.
Until them SOE will still get my money ROFL as I have never totally dropped my EQ accounts. If anyone still plays over there drop by Tunare I play Jasarina, Rheassi, Kasarina, Arrenaand Dakotia
Take care,
I'm totally agree with you Jasarina and I think that the game should be in beta status longer too.
I was in beta too and when devs announce the official release I knew they were releasing a Beta, not a finished game. But I can understand why they did it.
They didn't fool me, so I can live with it, but I think that is quite unfair with those players that haven't been in the beta and thought they were buying a full functional game.
I'm sorry to hear you left the game. I hope to see you in a galaxy soon again.

at any rate here's my personal list:
Artisan Bugs:
* artisan missions gain in difficulty as combat experience increases
* Warn players before destroying ALL vendor stock items.
Send players a warning email one day before items in their vendor's stock rooms are destroyed. Send player emailis warning them that factories, harvesters, and houses are going to be destroyed. CSRs should reimburse players if they are not sent this email and they lose a structure or vendor.
* ability to turn off offer ability on merchant
* factories should extract and use items from factory crates
huuuuge
* some experimented "success" reduce item stats
* experimentation is very inconsistant, 1-2 points == don't bother experimenting
* crafting station & tool quality doesn't affect crafting/experimentation or the effects are reversed (-14 is better than +41)
* waypoints stop updating if you survey rapidly while running
Artisan issues & desires
* no reason for artisans to mine remote planets
the resources on intermediate and remote planets should bennefit non-combat players as much as the weapons experience bennefits combat players
* not enough artisan items
We need more content and more bennefit to being non-maser and/or non-elite artisan. Weapon & armor repair kits should be 100% effective past a certain quality and have a chance to repair the weapon with less quality loss.
* not enough business-line content
Non-premium auctions should be stripped of item color in name, and premium auctions should allow color in description and item name.
* 100 item schematic limit is too few.
If this is maintained allow us to copy schematics. If not please officially support 1000 item factory runs; CSRs are using this technicallity to deny us bugged crate compensation when we make 1000 count schematics.
* CSR compensation for game bugs is inappropriate and slow
You need to be much freer with replacing lost items especially for artisans. It is extremely discouraging to a businessman to lose his business and not have insurance. If a loss can be proven then it MUST be reimbursed. CSRs should be able to reimburse artisans with named resources and increased schematic count. CSRs should be authorized to reimburse players for purchased items.
* more content in merchant tree
this affects artisans because these are our elites
only bennefit to merchant is dressing up your vendors
listing and vocalization are broken
* remote vendor administration (via merchant tree?)
* ability to let other players offer items for sale on your merchant (might be design problem not easily solved)
* ability to restrict item offers to certain categories
* ability to post a "pricing notice" for accepted offers
* ban all players of guild by tag, or rebel/imperials from shops / houses that are non-destructable.
* members-only guild houses
these would be public, but not open to all, only guild members
* more complex items at low level
it's extremely boring to grind through wind survey tools, and cost prohibitive and a waste of the economy to grind on bone armor
Thank you for pointing me to that thread. I posted a response in that thread as well.
I really have been concerened about Artisans haveing a voice in the game. I wanted to repost a portion of my message in that thread for everyone here.

I recently quit as Artisan Correspondent. I quit for 3 reasons.
1. Lack of communication with SOE
2. Constantly getting nasty emails/private message and tells in game because some players think that correspondents have some magical line to the devs and can get results when we can not. I felt like I was not helping Artisans and I was just getting yelled at on a daily basis because I could not do anything. I got so frustrated one day I cancelled my account after a nasty exchange online with a player who insisted I could do something I could not. it was not fun to play anymore and I uninstalled the software. After a recent dispute with the billing department I decided not to return and try again. I do miss my Architect and I honestly do missing interacting with the Artisan Community but Iam not sure I have the patience to try it again.
3. I feel as Ive mentioned above that some correspondents think they are special and are pushing their personal ideas and thoughts and are ignoreing their communities as a whole.
I want to thank thoses of the Artisan community that played by the rules and understood what I could and could not do. It was a really nice experience communitcating with all of you on a daily basis. I wish it had stayed fun and I wish I really had been able to make a difference.

I'm so sorry things turned for the worse. Kauri will miss you
What I really appreciate is that you stuck up for the miners, eventhough we have no 'official' title or recognition.
When this game starts loosing people like you and yours, somebody very well better take notice, or this game is in trouble.
Your optimizism and cheerful manner was something that brigntened my SWG experience. You will be missed.
/salute
Thank you Exed. I have had a nice cooling off period lol. I seriously needed a break. Iam sure I'll return to Kauri in the future I just was not having fun and I really needed to fix that. The game does have wonderful potential and Iam looking forward to seeing it evolve into a game that people just can't stop playing LOL
"Didn't you read the Dev responces? The waypointbug was fixed a month ago.
/sarcasm off
Bianca Minola"
Thats why it wasnt working for me because I forgot to read about it, I will read the responses so this is fixed next time I play, lol.
1)Yeah the waypoints is really annoying.
2) That **edit**ing 0 you cant get ride of
3) Is -14 good or bad, same for +14, which is better?
4)Schematics in the wrong place, at least knock it down to only one DE print in MA instead of 4!
5) Better items to craft as a Artisan. (Rumored that speeders will be Eng IV, I thought I read this from the devs could be wrong)
6) crafting locks up and the only way to get out of it is to cancel the session, resulting in losing all componets.
