I would be willing to pay a Smuggler for supplies - if I knew it was exclusive. I think the game will balance out, but in-time, don't be suprised if we start having trade wars.

As for suveying in dangerous places - Hire out Brawlers and Marksmen. Learn the medic skill and travel with them, healing them, etc. Give free items/weapons, or equip them with armor and go.

Need breeds a market for specialized help, and eventually smaller guys will be niche or squashed by the money grubbers.
