Thread: What did you grind to get your crafting XP up enough to get Novice insert profession here?

Aside from about 20 minutes of making Ambient Solar Survey devices right at the end, I didn't grind at all. However, I did destroy quite a few things that I felt were substandard that I made to sell, and I did make quite a few outfits for my friends.

Trying to work my way up from Novice Chef, however, is another story. I can't sell enough of what I make to avoid grinding completely.

Muzzles, then weapon crafting tools, then travel packs with all the hide I got specializing rifle. I chose not to "practice" on travel packs and gave them all away to novice characters everywhere...

I always crafted at a crafting station using experimentation to maximize the XP return...

Power ups here. Takes only a few materials even if it takes a bit longer. Only 50000 to go!

If you're master artisan....why not control units? You ought to even be able to sell those...I picked up MA just because a weaponsmith buddy was begging me to make him some of them

I grinded up with Bone armor chest plates. I broke down and bought crates of fiberplast from the bazaar and with that annoyance out of the way, I could really rip through the armor.

In retrospect though, if I wasn't in such a hurry, I would probably just made power ups or something for me and my friends when we go hunting.

Bone Armor chest plates. And to my knowledge, experimentation doesn't give you any extra GC XP.

I just keep grinding a little of everything. Fireworks are fun. Weapon Powerups work good. Camp Sets, and Weapons work good too. I don't have enough cash to buy harvesters so my Surveying is way up.

I first started out with fireworks. I quickly switched to weapon power-ups.Weapon power-upsgave a good ratio of XP to materials used. This does require a lot of grinding though. After I started getting a steady income I switched to bone armor chest plates. Doing this makes the grind not so tedious since you are getting so much more XP per item than power-ups.
