Thread: What did you grind to get your crafting XP up enough to get Novice insert profession here?

I just got Master Artisan on Tempest and will be pursuing the Tailoring profession. I've done hundred's of chemical survey tools and I'm getting really sick of them, heh. What, in your opinion, is the best way for me to get that 19k crafting so I can Novice Tailor? Thanks in advance!

I got up to Novice Weaponsmith making Bone Armor chestplates. Get a few harvestors, go hunting (or buy it on the bazaar) and grind - make sure to experiment to the max. If you run outta hide with only a few thousand XP left to go - craft muzzles, again making sure to experiment. Hope this helps!

Travel packs, travel packs, and more travel packs. I set up a couple extractorsfiberplast and steel, killed some local wildlife, andmanually sampled the polymer. Not only is it pretty easy grinding at 147 a pack, but you can also sell some of them (imagine that).

I just made billions of Chemical Survey units. They give good XP and need only one ingrediant (metal) ... this saves a ton of hassle chasing down things and I can make them with any metal I find.

Ditto for me. I just made Novice Tailor and it took a LONG time for me to do it, but I'm just a casual gamer. I also made Maiden Dresses (I think that's what their called). They require metal fasteners and fiberplast panels so you'll gain XP for making both of those requirements and again for making the outfit. Just make sure you practice! You wouldn't want to fill up your inventory with all those travel packs.

Hope this helps!

Morning,
Well for me the fastest way to get the crafting exp was to build bone armor leggings. I got an inital exp for crafting them and then I simple used the practice option on them. All together I believe it was around 300 to maybe as much as 350 exp total. And thats not counting the exp earned from making the fiberplast panels and the bone armor segements as well.
Took me part of last night and I finally got eng 4. Now the big question keep going and get enough to make dom 4 as well or just save it till later and get the Weaponsmith Profession? dont know which way Ill go with it tonight, but then again the more points I have for Artist Experementation the better Ill be at crafting my blasters later on. Oh decissions decissions...
Either way I might see you on any planet on Chilastra server if you need something made send me an email and Ill be happy to help you if I can do it.
Take care

Powerups and high quality repair tools. Not the most efficient XP wise, but you can actually sell them. My little shop does a decent business.

hey Malak - hate to disappoint you mate, but when you do hit weaponsmith, you'll find out, like i did, that your artisan experimentation does exactly JACK for you when making weapons.

there is weapon experimentation for that, and at novice weaponsmith, you have exactly ONE whole point to play with.

just thought you should now so you can prepare yourself now ...

cheers.

I ground out bone armor chest plates. The components equal more that 100 GCE and then stick'em in a bone armor chest plate and be sure to practice so you get the bonus 5% and you get over 500 GCE. And that is without any experimentation, which I found, doesn't yield any additional GCE. Be sure to get lots of bone and hide!!!

I'm not "grinding" anything. I discovered that every once in awhile when I am making stocks, I will get one that has three bonuses instead of two. Those sell for big bucks. And the others go pretty quick a 350cr a pop. I make ten of fifteen stocks, and whenI get bored of it, I go do other stuff. I've been playing my character an hour or two a day (more on weekends) andalthough I haven't "mastered" anything, I've been having a good time.

I figure I've got plenty of time to master professions, sell skills back, and try other professions. What's the rush?

AndI realize not everybody looks at things the wayI do. If your goal is to make master in a week, "Go for it," I say.

Just giving my perspective...
