Same thing has happened to me right now...

Tried:

- Relogging (wait 30 minutes) log back in.

- Get killed

- Try a brandnew crafting tool

Nothing works. Guess I'm waiting for the server to go down...

Tried that.

For kicks, inside /outside a house, infront of / not infront of crafting station.

Saw this earlier in another thread, no experience using it, but try issuing the following command:

/stopcrafting

Not sure if you need to do that when you are having a failed attempt to start a session or just when you are inactive, so play around with it. It would appear that you can't start because the game thinks you are already crafting. This should reset your state based on what I've read.

I tried logging off and on. And I also bought a new tool and destroyed mine, but I still couldn't craft. But the/stopcrafting just worked for me.

What type of crafting tool where you trying to use?

If it was a type that needed to be used in front of a crafting station, it might not power up. I noticed this with the Furniture/Structure crafting tool a couple times, and with one other that I don't remember.

As soon as I got in front of one of the public crafting stations for that type of tool, opened right up.

log out for a hour or so and come back and it should fix itself. Had this problem happen twice yesterday went and played on another server for awhile came back and it was fixed.

Logging out didn't work, even for an hour.

/stopcrafting worked when I did that, though

/stopcrafting also worked for me when everything else failed.

ahhh I love crafter communities! I was just about to start this thread when I say this previous one. I thought it was just me. The only thing I haven't tried is /stopcrafting, so I'll try that next. I hope it works cause being a hardcore crafter my CH is useless without the ability. Thanks you for all the advice. You guys rock.
