As stated by some of the other artisans here there is NO such thing as a 14 pt Artisan, only 12 pt.

Then those artisans were wrong or non-human.

You get 1 experimentation point for every 10 you have in artisan experimentation. You get +100 experimentation from 44xx artisan. Bonuses from skill tapes are capped at +25. So for non-humans, the max you can have is 100 + 25 = 125 = 12 experimentation points.

Humans get a +15 racial bonus to artisan experimentation. This is not included in the +25 cap from skill tapes. So 100 + 25 + 15 = 140 = 14 skill points.

What, you think all the people posting here about being 14 point artisans are lying?

LOL. How do you come by this information?

There are indeed 14pt Artisans. I have had a +25 Artisan Exp suit for about 7 months now. Since I am a human, I do indeed get 14 points. I could offer a screenshot of my crafting screen if it would help, but its pretty boring. Looks just like a normal crafting screen except there are 14 points instead of 10/11/12. Not very exciting. LOL.

But hey....if you dont believe it and think we are all lying, thats fine. /shrug.

BE/Tailors can not make any clothing with Artisan Experimentation. There are looted schems for experimentation bonuses to nearly every ELITE crafting profession, but not for Artisan.

As for the group that you play with saying that 12pt is the max...they are wrong. Human Artisans with +25 in Artisan Experimentation tapes are 14pt Artisans. Period. End of story. Debate over. Horse dead. Case closed. He's dead Jim. If they continue to say that 12pts are the max, in spite of all the artisans here on these forums that have confirmed it, please let them know that denial is not just a river in Egypt.

In order to become a 14pt Artisan, you must be a human, have at least 4xxx artisan, and have +25 in Artisan Experimentation attachments in your clothing.

Well right now all the big SEAs are dropping from the exploited DJM spawn out on Dath. People go out there and kill 20-50 of them a day. When they drop SEAs, they drop big. Thats where all these insane double +25 SEAs are coming from that you see all over the trade forums.

Other than that I am not sure.

Minor nitpick: It's 44xx artisan, you get +40 artisan experimentation from the Dom Arts branch.

Take a moment and plan your suit BEFORE you go looking for tapes. Note that there are only so many spots if you want to also have a backpack. If you're reaching for +25 Artisan experimentation then loading up on +1 or even +2 tapes is a bad idea.

I know you want it now, just don't get the small tapes or you'll regret it later, IMO.
