Know what you mean about undercutting prices for simple thing on the bazaar terminals. I was grinding out some items just to get the XPs and sold them for cheap on the bazaar and they were selling like hot cakes. Selling items for a wee bit under the lowest price works when you grind in bulk…
Some beginning players and others will buy clothes or weapons just because they can.

Get a good survey macro.
When you are done playing for the night find a nice concentration of just about anything you need, and set it up and go to bed. Let the game run till the servers reset. You will end up with 1K - 3K of material (depends on how late you play). Do this in the middle of a city for safety.
Hopefully the stuff you sample is good enough quality. You can either sell it or use it for crafting.
Craft consummable items. Powerups will sell individually on the Bazaar if they are high enough, or you can use them on your own weapons for a little boost when you run destroy missions. Scout is an absolute life saver. Harvest Harvest Harvest. Either you need it or someone else does. Any organic seems to sell for at least 5 credits per unit if in large enough volumes. Try to get at least 500 units, they sell the quickest.
Artisan foods are a good way to go as well, they can help you run the missions or you can sell them on the bazaar. 250 credits for something you harvested while running destroy missions is a good profit.
The real money maker is when you can make your own personal harvesters. Resist the temptation to get anything higher unless they are selling on the bazaar with power and maintenance. When I started out my chef I was lucky enough to find an automated flora farm that happened to have 30 days of both power and maintenance. Who cares if its only BER 7, I ran it on one spot for 30 days changing to the highest concentration when the current one ran out. I scraped up tonnes of mediocre to good resources for my chef this way.
Make a wind generator and run it for a few days, then put down a harvester on a good spot. Keep some, sell some.
You can do it without a lot of effort. Artisan is a nice little self sufficient class when starting out.
But the best thing I found was always check the bazaar for deals, and always check vendors for deals. I found one vendor was selling two low level crafting stations for 250 credits a piece. I bought em both and sold them on the bazaar for 6000 a piece!

Yeah Im pretty new ( just managed to get an anniversary painting ) and one of the best things to do is to buy some transport.
It can be hard to save up that 17k ( or whatever ) but you can make alot of money with it.
My tactic is to find a very high quality resource ( about 80% ) then run 2 missions at a time to that location, 1800cr in just a few minutes.
After you get money from missions, get harvesters ( I picked up a BER7 wind generator for 500cr on the bazzar ) and use those to GRIND GRIND GRIND. Its not very fun, but with a good macro you can get about 15k of exp in about 30 mins.
After a few days of constant grinding, Im up to architect, weaponsmith and armorsmith.
Recently I have been making a fortune onHOUSES for UNDER 5K ( Bazzar,Mos Eisley, Chimera
) .
The biggest problem for me now, is the fact Ive reached my plot limit. Who is meant to make money with only 10 plots
.
At first I did make a bit on selling very cheap CDEF Rifles, but it was hardly worth it at 30cr profit each time.
