I know ive joined the game alot later than evryone else and this puts me at abit of a disadvantage but it driving me crazy being unable to sell anything i make on the bazaar. Is there any simple way to make enough credits to get my character half decent atleast.

Perhaps, to help with starting out as an artisan, you should get some combat skills to complement your crafting? Combat mission rewards, along with possible looting and harvesting, could help you with harvestor upkeep or purchasing resources to craft with.

Getting a combat profession helps a lot because at low level artisan there isn't many things you can make and sell on the bazaar that people will buy. So, pick up either a ranged/melee profession, run a few missions to get credits, and hopefully you'll find something nice along the way to sell for BIG credits
I've known some lucky new players who've found force crystals off low level npc's and they got a lot of credits instantly, I'm sure that's more fun than sitting around crafting all day hehehe

A good way to support your early crafting career is to take a combat profession as well as scout.
Run missions, then harvest the hide from the creatures you kill. That way you can sell the hides on the bazaar to make some extra cash.
If you don't already own one, a speeder is a very valuable first investment to make when you're starting out. This will allow you to run missions a hell of a lot faster!
BTW I recommend swordsman as a good profession to start with for doing pve missions, even in the two-handed tree it's still strong.

Are Force Crystals even worth anything anymore? Since I would guess I would have to find a Jedi to sell it too... I picked one off a Tusken... or what I am guessing is one. It is blue and says in the description that it must be attuned by Jedi. Then again, I do got some good Steel lying around which is probably worth 5 CPU.

my droid engineer survived artisan, and was able to maintain harvesters, without doing any combat. I sold powerups and resources for a while and various other things. It is possible, and can easily be done. Try selling your things at different locations.

Actually, novice artisan has a better opportunity for making credits than most of the other classes as a new character.
Just get GAS survey missions from the artisan terminal. 900cr each, get two, go find a location 1024m from the mission terminal with 70% or higher INERT gas, and sample. Drop a waypoint at the location you sampled, run back to the mission terminal, wash, rinse, repeat.
1800cr a run is pretty easy credits, and you don't have to kill a thing.
Make sure you refresh the missions on the terminal, and only take the 900cr GAS missions.
As an added bonus, when you get a weapon skill to3 (or 4 - can't remember)like pistols in marksman, the mission payouts will double, so 3600cr a run possible for a very lowly artisan. Save up enough credits to get a cheap speeder (X34 is fine), and doing the missions will make you relatively rich in a short time.
BTW - use your quest reward rental speeder to do 10 runs and you can buy your very own swoop!

There are many different ways to make money in this game. It is tough the first few weeks b/c you just dont know what to do.
To find the best ways to make money use the Search button at the bottom of the forums here.
Here are ways to get started as a new character:
1) Do Delivery/Destroy missions- They stink but you can make enough money to pay for more skills in the very short term.
2) Do Artisan survey missions- As noted above this will probably be the best for you since you are grinding artisan. I did not have the benefit of a "Rental" bike and had to walk to the waypoints until I had enough for a vehicle. (The most important thing to buy first is a vehicle).
3) Buy personal harvesters and get resources to sell on the bazaar.
4) Sell everything that you make to grind artisan on the bazaar (people will buy it for the right price).
Afterfour months here I have Mastered Artisan and Droid Engineer, opened two vendors to sell my wares, and have over three million in the bank. This is all being a casual player (2-3 hours per day average play time). I did not make my first million until i opened my shop roughly a month and a half after starting to play.

Make 5000 credits or more per mission.
Just bring your trusty generic item crafting tool to Dee'ja Peak, Naboo - no resources or talent needed, haha. A speederbike can be used for this (to go between cities) but you can also use the shuttleports available in both cities. Shuttles take longer, but are easier for the newer player.
Find an Artisan mission terminal. Save a waypoint for it by using /waypoint in your chat window. Edit this waypoint in your datapad under CTRL+D, in the waypoints tab. Call it "Dee'ja Peak Artisan Missions" or something you'll remember. You'll want to know how to get back to this terminal (many times).
Now, in the Artisan mission terminal window, select the "Crafting" tab on top, not the "Delivery" tab.
Keep refreshing the missions and look for missions with the biggest payout to the S. They'll be roughly 2700 credits or so, or more. Take 2 of these. Your destination is Moenia, Naboo - a few thousand meters to the South.
Now, head to the waypoints and talk to the NPC's - they'll put parts in your inventory. Use these parts to build theobject to deliver (use your generic crafting tool to build the part, under the Mission tab).
***Important!!!!*** Always, always, always build the object to deliver right when the NPC gives you the parts for it. This way, if you get a critical failure on the build (which happens) you can just abort the mission in your datapad - CTRL+D - and get a new one. This keeps you from going to Moenia and building it there, realizing you now have noobject to deliver. Always build the object as soon as you get the parts for it.
Once you get the parts, and build the 2 objects for your 2 missions, head to Moenia, Naboo. Follow the waypoints and deliver what you've built to the NPC's.
Now find an Artisan mission terminal in Moenia. Just like in Dee'ja Peak, set a /waypoint to the terminal so you can find it easier.
Get 2 missions to the N, which is actually back to Dee'ja Peak. Talk to the NPC's by following your waypoints, build the objects with the parts, and then deliver the objects to Dee'ja Peak.
Repeat until you get sick of making a good amount of credits with minimal effort. The single biggest drawback to this method is the time it takes to do. Using a vehicle to run between cities cuts down on that, but then again vehicle repairs cut into your profits. I'd suggest using an X34 Landspeeder, as they decay the slowest. Be sure to stop by shuttleports to see how long it is until the next shuttle. If it's 5 minutes, use your speeder. 20 seconds, use the shuttle.
I used this method when I first started and made myself my first 100k in about 2 day's worth of casual gaming. That helped me get things going.
I hope all of that made sense.
Good luck!

err, that first line should say "Make 5000 credits or more per round trip." Not per mission, the missions pay abou 2700 each or so.
Be sure to look for the highest paying Crafting missions you can find.
Also, this method has the added benefit of giving you some crafting xp AND credits at the same time!
