Would love to try kryat scales but they seem, um, I dunno, awfully rare to be putting into Bone Armor. Voritar on the other hand are reasonably easy to obtain and match up pretty well with the "level" of the armor.

Managed some 33En/7Kn/14El Chest and Helms yesterday...course then I had them in my inventory when I aided a guildie with his villiage exit quest... I bravely sacrificed myself during the encounter.

I did succeed in destroying 3 of the crystals and 6 thugs before being killed by Malichae(or what ever his name is). Anyhoo the Bone Armor was of course uninsured...meaning that my unused, newly created Bone Armor was damaged by my death (Ack! cant sell that)! Oh well, we succeeded anyway. Heh.

Do krayt scales provide more kinetic resist than Voritor?

In my experience the kinetic resistance is about the same. I just put a krayt dragon scale into a bone armor helmet yesterday for the heck of it (yes, I did have fun dumping about 100k of armor enhancers into a suit of armor that I probably couldn't sell for 10k thank you very much ) and the krayt scale I used had about a 6% kinetic resist. The advantage that the krayt scales provide is that they also give a bonus to 5 or 6 other resists in addition the energy and kinetic resists that you get from voritor scales.

Do you mind posting the stats of any scale you have? They have about 8x the amount of integrity right?

Crafting bone armor is one of the few fun things I do anymore.

Krayt bone armor you let you get:

Eng stats up to around 40-49+ %
Elec stats up around 12-20+ %

All others will be around 4-10 %
The other stats are (might be missing 1 or 2):

Heat
Acid
Kin
Cold

The end results are based on your exp results and the Oq of the scales used.

Let me ask you why not?

I can sell each piece for 5K++... and they sell like hot cakes...

My reason is this:

Some armorsmiths don't want anything to do with the "average" Krayt scales... which means that if you look around on vendors... you can pick these scales up for 500-1000 cr per scales... not too bad of a price really.

The profit is good... and alot of veterans like them for more intense Theme parks runs where the cost of replacing comp. armor becomes a factor.

Besides... your a artisan... Play your part and make the best product you can. Just because one person thinks its a waste, doesn't mean the rest of the people on the server have to follow that way of thinking.

I've been looking for an AS to make me some kliknik Chitin but haven't been able to find one. I'd love to have a 40%+ Kinetic suit with 0 HAM.

As for the comment on what ppl wear. I tend to wear what looks different from everyone else. I'm a fencer so I don't get hit that often anyway in PvE so Chitin, Bone or Padded look different from everyone else in their comp suit so I like it.

I may be an Imperial but I don't want to look like a generic version of a stormtrooper in black composite armour.
