I'm not sure where you're seeing that but "in-fighting" tends to mean fighting occuring with-in a group where it normally shouldn't. An example might be when members of a guild disagree over who should lead it and take that disagreement to extremes, dividing the guild and causing in-fighting.

You don't have to surrender them all together any more. You give up skills to free up Skill Points as you need to learn Jedi skills.

You don't to drop all your skill points at once, you do it gradually as you progress upJedi, just as you would if you were switching from tka to fencer etc...

If I have a mission on someone and log off for a day and they still havent been killed by a bh, will I retain their mission and be able to hit them when I log back in?

Hello,

I've recently returned to the game, like many, and am trying to gather information on the CU changes. I'm not a doc, and have never been a doc, but I like to learn about all the different professions nonetheless.

The question I was hoping you guys could answer was to explain buffs a bit to me. I know they are a whole different ball of wax from what they used to be, and I can read the very 'basics' of what they do from the skill descriptions. My main questions are:

How long do they last?

Which ones do you find most useful?

Are the effects the same as the skill descriptions or are they different? (As sometimes the skill description for a skill says ONE thing but does another. For instance, concussion shot said it broke on damage for a LONG time, but didn't get 'fixed' until recently).

Do they last only a few minutes now? Or is it possible to have a doctor friend buff you before entering a large dungeon or some such?

Thanks ahead of time!

The buffs last like 30 mins up to an hour give or take a few. One boosts your health, one boosts your action regen, one boosts mind regen.. they boost it like 10-20% not sure on the exact #'s.. I'm sure there is a thread somewhere tho that has it. Doctors can also boost attack speed, but it only lasts like 15 mins.

there are 3 kind of buffs docs can give:

attribute buffs - health/mind/action - they mainly add 10% to the regeneration rate and in case of health 10% to your health value (so on a 3000 health char they add 300 pts) - those buffs can last upto around 50 mins (with using a droid, food and enhancers) - without these mods the power stay the same but the duration is around 40 mins - mind buffs are only useful for some profs (jedi healers, docs, combat medics), health buffs are very low and not as useful as before, action buffs are the most useful as action is the attribute usualy running low first (at least for master combat profs) - especially if u use a combat speed buff

combat speed buff - this adds 40 pts to your combat speed - duration is around 15 mins - with mods upto 20 mins - this is probably the best buff as it could make a difference in combat

resistance buffs - adds resistance for poison and disease - disease is broken atm, even if u get a disease it does nothing beside the annoying state icon - poison is only used by combat medics in PvP - so these buffs are nearly useless atm.

as u see the durations are not as long as it used to be - its intended to get the doc into the group to redo the buffs when they wear off. i usualy only use action and combat speed buffs on my group mates on normal hunting parties.
if u want to do a longer mission all by yourself u have to rely on food buffs (which are quite useful too).

these are the values for master doc buffs - the values for doc xxx2 are around half these values (5% regeneration, 20 pts combat speed) and duration is shorter, beside health which is also 10% on health, but without the regeneration effect
