Believe me, vendor restocking has been a major issue of both the merchant and artisan correspondents for a very long time.

Elyssa and I tag team the devs on it.

umm.. there is this thing called a stock room.. stuff you DONT want sold you just put in there.. the stuff stays on the vednor before disappering the EXACT same amount of time if you put it up forsale or stock room it.. i dont know why people dont get that,.

Well, you can't put something directly into the stockroom. First you have to sell it, then remove the sale. What I mostly use mine for is storing space loot. All the RE 2 stuff goes up for 222222 Cr, RE 3 333333 Cr, etc. That way I can quickly tell how many of each level that I have. ISTR that the stockroom doesn't show prices in the main list.

Don't place personal vendor in the same building as your regular vendor (if possible)
Use droid (like someone pointed out, no white arrow)
Don't register your vendor for search nor header (CTRL+V)
Price everything at 9999999 (if you don't want anyone to buy it, then there's no reason not to do this)

I have mine setup in my personal house, not even the same city as my actual vendor. From time to time I place stuff up for others (guildies or friends) for regular type prices on my personal vendor, if someone ever abussed this, I would ban them, if they got around it, then I would have to stop doing anytype of regular transactions on the personal vendor.

That's risky because if you leave it for sale even at 9999999, you'll at least get an email every 30 days reminding you to relist it in the next 30 days.

If you just dump it straight into the stockroom, it'll sit for 60 days and poof without warning.

Isn't it after 30 days the item goes to the stockroom? so technically you get 90 days of vendor storage. Hopefully in 3 months you can remember to maintain vendor.

No. It can sit on your vendor for 60 days max. 30 days on sale, 30 days in the stockroom.
However if it drops to the stockroom early, you will get the 30 stockroom days plus whatever was left on the sale timer.
So if you list it then withdraw it immediately, it will sit in the stockroom for 60 days.

Regardless, if your vendor goes untouched for 2 weeks it will poof.

you still get the 30 day reminder.. its all the stuff that you restocked the same day.. I get about 500-1000 depnding on how sales have been on thatwonderfullreminder day.. im happy to miss the 30 extras.. I wish i could stop the "reminders" all together. You have any idea how much my finger hurts from deleteing all those

Word of advice.

To delete a whole bunch of messages from your mail box. I.E.: reminders of stock stuff and failed vendor sales.

Click on the first one.

Go to the last message you want to delete.

Hold down the shift key and click on that message.

Delete.

*le poof* all the messages in between go bye bye.

Also holding down the CTRL key and click on message to toggle it on/off from the list.

Word of advice Two.

Reselling stuff made easier.

Use the price filter to get all stuff in the stockroom you want to sell with the same prices.

Lets say you want to sell "Blrug disruptors" and "Nerf Electro shock collars" for 122394 credits each.

Set min and max price filter for 122394 credits.

It will list all the stuff you listed for that price and only that price.

Sell one and set the price.

Sell the next one and no need to set the price since it's already set. (No need to look at that stats either cuz you know it's supposed to sell for 122394.

Eventually people will find your storage vendor regardless if you de-listed it on the galaxy wide vendor search. Having it listed as 99999999 will help but remember CSRs can't compensate for your losses if you do lose it otherwise. But listing them as 1 credit is extremely dangerous, a merchant's worst nightmare. Please be mindful if you do use storage vendors. Obviously the picture below will make you artisans cringe, this vendor i found had 30-40 mil worth of items ALL listed as 1 credit each. A satchel full of teal crystals for 1 cred? I'LL TAKE IT!!!

pwned...

*modified picture by blacking out vendor owner's name to save from major embarrasment from this colossal mistake.

Somtimes i wonder why they even put vendor storage items for 1 credit selling and try to hide them in a room or secret place. Find it or not its dangerous to put it for 1 credit. Its not that hard since the price stays the same for all items you choose to put in the vendor.

If you're going to use a storage vendor, please de-register it from global vendor search.

QFFE!

And my MDE/Arch alt has her storage vendor in her crafting house too. All of her factory crates are listed in big bold 100k price tag. It's a loss to me if someone stumbles upon it and buys me out, but at 100k a crate, I'll get over it.

Hasn't happened yet, except that one guy that came in to buy a few 100k crates of walls.
