OK, we all know people use vendors for storage, but how to keep people from buying the stuff? Besides pricing items at 999999999999999. I made my storage vendor the Robot Bartender one, and placed it down. Then I took an armoire and put it down in the same spot and it hides the vendor completely. Now I can type /target vendor and it will select it. Then I type ~ to bring up the radial menu and can Use Vendor or maintain as normal. I don't know if it's because I have a merchant tent, and it's small, but it /target vendor was always targeting the latest one I'd placed, so I did have to rearrange a little bit. It might be different for larger structures.
A couple of days later, I decided I only wanted to decorate my tent with stuff that I crafted, so I picked up the armoire, and put down a starship shield generator, and it covers it up just fine.
One more thing...
If you're going to use a storage vendor, please de-register it from global vendor search.

just remeber anything you place on a vendor is considered to be for sale, period
hidden, in house with fee, 9999999price, if it is on the vendor they have the right to buy it.

One other minor tip... Robot vendors won't show up on the overhead map as white arrows, but NPC vendors will. So if you relly want to hide your vendor, make sure it's one of the droids.

Sure, I know that. I don't really mind that's why I put high prices on the stuff. If somebody finds my vendor and wants to spend 10,000,000 credits each for my KSE fragments I'll let them.
Before I hid my vendor though, somebody bought my Tractor Beam for 222222 Cr, and it's the one you can get for free from the quest.

umm.. there is this thing called a stock room.. stuff you DONT want sold you just put in there.. the stuff stays on the vednor before disappering the EXACT same amount of time if you put it up forsale or stock room it.. i dont know why people dont get that,.

That's risky because if you leave it for sale even at 9999999, you'll at least get an email every 30 days reminding you to relist it in the next 30 days.
If you just dump it straight into the stockroom, it'll sit for 60 days and poof without warning.

how is it risky.. if you dont check your vendor and lose something for 2 months.. then its your won fault.. i have used the stock room since the thing has been in the game and ive never lost an item.. ever... repost stock once a month.. its not that hard.
there is a warning btw.. its a 60 day warning...

I'm just saying that a reminder at the 30 day mark is better than no reminder at the 30 day mark.

you still get the 30 day reminder.. its all the stuff that you restocked the same day.. I get about 500-1000 depnding on how sales have been on thatwonderfullreminder day.. im happy to miss the 30 extras.. I wish i could stop the "reminders" all together. You have any idea how much my finger hurts from deleteing all those
Crates of batteries.. Not sold
Paint kit, Not sold
surgial droid,, not sold
Zapmaster 3000,, not sold
If my customers didnt like the store soo much i wouldnt bother.. Yay,, i got a unprogramed droid chip, a paint kit for my new ride..and a container of spice (gotsta have the spice)and a suit of faction armor !
Btw.. can you poke um again about a restock button.. and remove email notification? Id even take getting rid of the whole thing.. i aint tracking what sells by e-mail thats for sure..and i know who my repeat customers are.. they talk to me
i look at whats still forsale or not and restock acordingly. Sure some maynot want to remove e-mail notification, but its just like global add, or bazzar registery.. or even add barkers.. not eveyone likes it or uses it. Would be really nice to beable to turn that stuff off. Better than off though would be a single e-mail once a week with all sales, instead of being spamed by pointless e-mail all day.. I honestly dont care that a 500 credit paint kit sold..or my Batman decorder ring: for 2k.. those are rare ! tongue: well not at the moment it happens anyway. BTW im not holding my breath on any of this.. but id still REALLY like a restock button..and description carry over.
if the e-mail is just soo hard there is no way.. possible.. atleast a way to turn off that blinking light that says you have new mail. I dont think im being really nit pickey on this either, that light bugs me like you wouldnt belive.. 90% of the time i open the mail almost instantly highlight it then hit escape or just instant delete from vendor sales. If i do read i read later when im not busy.its just a very distracting thing, Its like im being attacked..(i would rather go up against a pack of lvl 24 maulers at lvl 1 with a cdef and a combat droid than i would getting baradged by emails every2 seconds for the next30 mins on restock day. Atleastthat first one is quick andpainless, I normally take a break when that starts.. or atleast turn off all my sound. Is there really any difference than combat music and a flashing red icon.. Verse a loud chim and flashing yellow/green light?? we can turn of system messages, on screen wps.. and tons of other little things..
it couldnt be that hard to have a click me box for e-mail notification light and sound chim.. could it.. ?? how about just that and a restock button.. /worship elyssa

They've been poked prodded and probed.
You'd be amazed at how many posts I work the "magic relist button" into.
