On Corellia (Gorath) right now resources are going at 10 credits per unit. It was 5, which is high enough, until some (moron..) offered 10, so.. Not much we could do.

Then again, even at 10 I manage to make a good living on bone armour, so.. Can't be that bad.

Cheers,
Addy

The prices for resources are too much... 500 credits for 100 steel!
And I need money for other resources...

I'm also kind of broke right now... (only 5cr)

"500 credits for 100 steel!"

Feel free to get the surveying skill and spend hours digging on your own - that won't cost you ANY credits.

I'll pay 1 to 3 credits for resources I need. Saying that I only buy from instant sales. A week from now when auction ends there is a good chance I will not need what I just bought. Currently I am seeing stacks of 15 bones or hides for 500 up. I hope prices get realistic soon until then I am harvesting my own. I am on with a partner and we can harvest enough to keep me going.

Prices are still fluctuating wildly as the economy figures itself out, but ultimately it's going to come down to availability and demand. Demand is starting to build as more and more artisans require more and more materials to continue doing what they do, but supply hasn't caught up yet. So we're seeing a lot of things like 10 credits per unit, a price I find not only high, but unsustainable. I've been making amazingly huge amounts of cash selling at under 4 credits per unit, simply due to the fact that I'm the only one doing it and the cost to me is minimal.

If I run a destroy mission, I make credits off the mission, credits off the resources harvested, and the skill gain is a nice bonus.

I think, given all the maneuvers in the economy that have taken place so far, we'll see things settle in between 4 and 6 credits per resource unit, although I personally think this is a little too high.

Generally speaking what I am making dictates how much I am willing to pay for hides/bone. I personally pay up to about 6 credits per hide (dont think I have bought bone yet its not often on the market for some reason), sometimes more if its some really good quality stuff and I have a client that knows the difference

With all the idiots giving away free bone armor its getting a bit tougher, but I have made a good bit of money off of chest pieces, 2k a pop, so I dont mind passing that money on to some scouts to keep them employed and to work up customer relationship with them. I will typically even pay more if the stack is a large one, and I never buy stacks below 100 volume.
