Thread: Am I the only one mad as hell with the AV21?
How you got that I suggest you give up craft skill points and become a fighter is beyond me, dude. I see nothing in that statement even resembling that. I have zero combat skills at the moment, but still managed to get the schematic. Maybe I'm a magician or something. Perhaps you have no friends who help you because of the negative attitude...lol. I decided early on that you cannot do everything in this game by yourself and hope to accomplish anything in a timely manner; and heaven forbid you shed precious skill points and take up another profession - what was I thinking???? Crafting professions are the EASIEST to grind through, because they require only YOU, a crafting tool, and resources - almost NO reliance on outside entities: enemies for combat xp; animals and such for scouting xp; or the interaction of other players and NPCs such as Bounty Hunters need to progress.
Case in point. Whine, whine, whine, and engaging mouth before the brain is in gear. Business as usual...lol.
Frankly, I thought fighters were only here for the crafters.
In economic terms, I don't know any combat-oriented characters who are anywhere near as successful as good crafters.
I understand that we as Artesians may not have the ability to go get this chem or the other component needed, that Im fine with. but I became an artesian to make money, Smuggler too at that. If someone wants me to make the item Ill happily do it, but there gonna pay and pay well. Theres one on the auction foruum that i checked before lunch about 2 hours ago and it was up to 1.5 million. I think there could be a great profit in these..
Im assuming that we are needed for the crafting end of it right? the EQ talk started me thinkin that anyone can do it.
So, because a schematic exists somewhere in the game, you have the god-given right to craft it?
I don't think so.
Faellyn, don't lose sight of the fact that this isn't some uber weapon, or some ungodly armor. This is for a vehicle that isn't even the fastest vehicle, its eye candy...
And yes, in the big picture it may seem trivial even...
But in a game most will agree is seriously lacking content and this big heralded new content comes along, well maybe, just maybe I wanted a little scape of content too... as insignificant as this may seem...
To craft a new vehicle, even if it wasn't the fastest vehicle... but it would have been something new... maybe a lil fun for a day or two...
I been playing this game a while now, I'm running out of things to look forward too and I think most of the MAs were looking forward to this... as insignificant as this may seem to some...

As stated this vehicle is nothing more than eye candy and whining about how hard the schematic is to get or the subcomponents or that the schematic is only one time use is pointless. Armorsmiths without combat skills cant go out and kill the big MOBs to get loot needed for the best armor or weapons. Weaponsmiths without combat skills make countless weapons they can never use. I agree that there should be more content for crafters in this game such as quests and the like, but face it, most people playing this game are combat oriented and most crafting is generally in support of combat. I for one am glad this corvette quest is super hard. The Geonosian cave was just another in the line of quests for uber leet to own and make fun of. Here you have a quest where TKM is a tank and not a damage dealer, where medics are essential, time is of the essence, and is instanced so you dont get there just to find out that some TKM/Rifleman/Fencer has already cleared out the MOBs and the loot. I think we should be praising this quest so that the advent of similar instanced quests for all professions are more prevalent.
