Thread: Am I the only one mad as hell with the AV21?

Am I the only one who views the way the AV21 was implimented as a slap in the face to artisans?

Am I the only one who thinks they would never pull something like this on armorsmiths or weaponsmiths but its ok to do it to artisans?

What other scematic in this game is a single use and requires a rare special part to create the item?

What other scematic is as insanely hard to get as this one? Heck, I did the whole Jabba thing solo...

They come out with an insanely hard theme park that we can't possibly do, drop a scematic we all been waiting for months for since it leaked out, requires us to make them, and we can't possibly own one ourselves...

I went and got my master artisan in preparation for this... I spent the week prior gathering materials...

The shear volume of materials alone would limit any run we could make with them anyways, unlike the 1000 items runs on artwork, special weapons, etc..

Now I feel like I been wasting my time and have to question if I'm wasting my time even playing this game...

No, you're not the only one. I'm just waiting for WoW to have open Beta, then all five accounts get canceled.

Don't let the negative AFKophobes get you down. Play the game however you want.

Is the beta testing almost over for this game?

Where have you been hiding? They've been doing this kinda thing for all professions for the last few publishes and there's no sign of this changing in the near future.

- Tailors got limitied use schematics requiring dropped loot with the theme park revamps.
- Weaponsmiths have got scyths, geo pistols, berserker rifles and soon d10 pistols and a new vibroknuckler all requireing loot drops - including on the latter nightsister vibro motors - talk about ungettable by your average crafter.
- Armorsmiths already have RIS, and soon along with tailors and DEs they're going to have to jump through 1000 hoops to make mandalorean

Now, you may have an argument that this whole direction sucks, but don't for one second think that artisans are being singled out when it comes to the difficulty of producing new craftables.

As always, its the crafting community that gets shafted so that the combat classes can have something to do. Its a definite trend and one that is going to break this game eventually.

Come WoW, I am so out of here. If I want twitchy combat, I'll go and play UT2004 online.

I think there is a difference between the old loot schematics like the featherlight or the leotard and the new one for the speeder. The old ones are mostly profession specific, so the crafter cannot use it anyway. Except the crafter's apron and a few exemptions.

So I am ok with it, that the schematics are relatively easy to get but require a rare loot item.

The speeder is another thing. Everyone can use a speeder and as it is harder to get than any other schematic and is one-use only it's a shame.

the only thing bothers me is the one time use, if we dont buy it we cant even make one for ourself as payment when we would build it for a combat guy who got the shematic.

and what about crit fails? the guy giving u the shematic to make it hasd to totally trust u that u dont cheat him?

we all know bad ppl are out there and can take advance of such, so at least a 2 or 3 time usage should be there, like all other loot shematics

Was gonna ask just that, "cana schem make more than 1 speeder?" If its a 1 vehivle per schem than that totally not worh it, can only Master artesians make them? If so, you can make a killin on them, only if your not being undercut by the guy down th street.

If its a one use schematic - then theres not much of a chance that you'll be able to make a factory schematic from it. To begin with you will never get the required loot drop item in enough quantity or with same Ser# to produce a run. So yes, it is basically a "Create one vehicle" item only.

I'm not mad in the least. I think some things should be limited and very hard to get. I don't really mind that I can't have absolutely everything in the game. Why get mad, it's just a game. You play it to relax.

What Gonk said: "It's only a game". I came here looking for leads on the AV-21 Power Unit and all I SEE are a bunch of crybabies, criticizing a GAME, that at one time these same people raved about as the coolest thing since sliced bread. If you want everything handed to you on a platter, go play another game - but be prepared to be purchasing ANOTHER game in a week or so; after you've "breezed" through it. Such rough lives people lead when they have to resort to crying on a public game forum for chrissake.

Here is your situation: ONE use; rather difficult to aquire schematic, which requires a component - which ITSELF must be sought after.

HM...sounds like a CHALLENGE to me!!! In every crowd there will inevitably be someone complaining about SOMETHING: "It's too HARD";"It's to EASY".

How about a little APPRECIATION for the developers coming through and delivering on a complex, multi-faceted quest that has a nice little reward as the payoff for SOLVING it.

I guess it's much easier to whine like ninnies...I don't know. I just laugh when I read stuff like that.

They say the squeaky wheel gets the grease; but at the same time, that same wheel has to be willing to roll over the bumps and through the mud once in awhile (I'm available in game to translate for those of you who have no clue)...lol.

This one time scematic with its associated special part reminds me of the box in EQ that you place your items and hit combine, except SOE thinks they are not bypassing the crafter by making us hit the stupid combine button, because really, thats our only involvement here. If they think that I'm going to pay 15 bucks a month for this kind of involvement, then they are more stupid then I am for hanging in here as long as I have already. Someone hit the nail on the head when they said us crafters are here solely for the purpose of the fighters and this recent AV21 fiasco exemplifies the lack of respect for crafters. There is no challenge for us, a trained monkey would do it for a banana or less, and we have to pay for the privledge. To be honest, this game is starting to feel very juvenile to me, there is no challenge, just relentless clicking. Now yesterday I played a game of chess on the net and that required brainpower, and didn't cost me a penny.

Your a real genius Grifterhim, you suggest we give up our skillpoints in crafting so we can become a fighter and get the scematic ourselves but then not be able to craft it.

You should be working for SOE, you exibit their logic to the tee.
