Here Here!

I'll take this statement one step further to say that a Artisan is a Jack of all trades master of none. We can make weapons but so can a weaponsmith. We can make armor but so can an armorsmith. We can make clothing but so can a tailor. And all of these professions can make bigger and better then ours. Because we are a Jack of all trades we dabble in the different fields and as such we need to have factories for all of the different fields that we dabble in. As well as the tools (which we CAN make) and the stations. There are very few things that we can do well and be masters of but they are smaller items. (ie tools, vehicles, oh and the useful bird cage)

I suspect there is another class spin off that is going to be added to take the vehicles away from us. I remember a post reading awhile back from TH stating that they made vehicles that easy to make just to get them in the game and that they expect to become more complex to make later.

(Hopefullythenthey will add speed experimentation, or handling experimentation, or decay experimentation)

Just my 2 credits.

Doesn't make sense...

Here is something that makes sense tho.

I broke down and bought a used Food factory for 25k. I only has a capacity of 2350 and a BER of 0. LOL! It worked fine and I was able to make a run of Large Glasses 25/crate. Gonna try and sell them for 300/Glass. Shame the Bazaar won't go up to 7500c.

K, back to topic. I'm asking for the ability to use up my old gems ina Weapon Factory to make Artisan Glassware, not Chef Glassware.I'm not trying to cheat, or to circumvent Chef abilities. I'm not trying to aid and abeit my alternate Chef(don't have one).It would take an addition in the list ofallowed Weapon Factory schemes. Chef containers can still be madeaccordingly, for all I care, so can Artisan Glassware. Once they get to that level, what do they wantthe Artisans stuff for anyway?Trade reduces prices. Have you seen the Chef prices? They areoutrageous! This might even drop the prices on Food, now is that a bad thing?

As a matter of fact, those goofy BE items required for ALL food, light additives, should be aloud to be run thru Clothing and Armor Factories.

Leave the hard parameters to the Elites, but an Artisan should be able to stuff awookieinto a Structure Factory and getcarnivore meat out. Do you think its game imbalancing?

You are too stuck on a factory per class. That isn't what a factory is for. It is a factory for the job. BE stuff, Chef stuff, Medic stuff, Combat Medic stuff, Doctor stuff, and Artisan foods are all going to go into a Food/Chem factory.......WHY??

Let's look at the name FOOD AND CHEMICAL FACTORY. Yes, it's because all of those items are used for, or are them selves Food and chemicals.

A Clothing/Armor factory deals with cloths and plating. It doesn't know what to do with meats, water and such.

A Equipment factory is for hmm equipment. Last I checked Glassware wasn't equipment. (but I guess it is if you ask a combat class )

The factories were designed to be used per job basis not per class basis.

And again an Artisan is a Jack of all trades therefore we need to buy the tools of ALL the trades. Just be glad that the Weapon, Droid, Generic tool can be used to make it all. Personally I think they should take the Generic off that tool and leave the Generic tool the only one that can do it all. But then of course you would never be able to experiment with it because there are no generic crafting station. Which would mean you would HAVE to use the special tool in conjunction with the special station in order to make the high end stuffs.

When you can introduceme to an Alien that eats gems and/or fuels spaceships by gems, I'll agree with you.

You forgot the wearables factory for making the trim on the Cask. The devs don't need help when it comes to making this game unbearably convoluted. Then there is the control unit and power conditioner (Item Factory) for components of the Barrel.

Don't let the negative AFKophobes get you down. Play the game however you want.

Is the beta testing almost over for this game?

Sounds like a case of fitting new stuff into old systems. The original four factories thing isn't really working all the way, maybe a generic factory would be a good addition that can factory produce stuff under a certain complexity, like the generic crafting tool.

I wonder if we couldget them to addan Artisan only factory. Where we could build any of the Artisan items in it but nothing above artisan.

you made mention that the CEDF pistols are crap and cant make money with them...oh yes you can. All you need is junk metal quality does not apply. Find a smuggler grinding slicing. make and sell those pistols by the case to him/her. they will buy all they can. they in turn slice the weapon and destroy it. Then they tell their friends about you and bring more business to you.

All these flavor statistics. I agree. I'm tired of DEVs chuckling at me thru their watching glass, as I experiment on my survey tool quality.

I'm gone. Quiting Friday. 400 posts, not one DEV response.

LadyGrey,I hope you carry on the good fight.
