Thread: droid crafting stations
Does anyone know how droid crafting stations compare to private ones as far asthe effectivness ratinggoes?
Thanks
A rating of fifteen on a droid crafting station (the highest you can achive) seems to be as good as the 45+ personal crafting stations. At least thats the word I hear. Nobdy really knows for shure what the numbers even mean though. All we know is 15 is the best.
Unfortunatly right now thier is no way of telling the crafting station rating in deed or droid form. You are just gonna have to take the DE's word for it. Fortunatly most DEs are very customer friendly and they will tell you the truth. Ratings go from -10 to 15 so thiers quite a big range. If you want to find a good one find a DE with a master tag or someone bescides a Novice Driod engeneer, because refinment (which is what gives us exsperimentation points) Is most of the time the last set of boxes we go for. But I started off using a -5 crafting station and personaly I couldent tell the difference between that and a public station.
To answer the question about stacking stations to make them more useful. I don't think anyone knows for shure. I would guess no though. It probibly uses the droid because it is considered a private crafting station, which gives you access to more scematics.
Just a bit of personal experience. I was using a droid with a clothing crafting station, made some time ago. It was made by someone who was not yet master. My personal crafting machines are not the best but pretty darn good. Ok.. I noticed a HUGE difference in the amount of crit fails when using my droid as opposed to my personal station. Fed up, I contacted a DE that I had done business with in the past and whom I trust very much and quite enjoy talking to. Amphi, my little fish friend, made me 2 DZ70's (I like the floating droids) with ER13 stations. Now, I know that is not the top but is relatively the same as my personal stations. I have seen a SIGNIFICANT difference in the number of crit fails suffered.
I actually did an experiment to see if it was in my head or a fact. Using the same crafting device (which is top of the line) and my old droid, I failed 3 out of 15 tries on an item. With my new droid, I actually got to 19 before I failed. I used the same item over and over and never changed crafting machines. So, as unscientific as my little experiment was, I can still reasonably conclude that the rating of the droid crafting station DOES make a difference. One crit fail on a master item is enough to make you cringe. Three out of 15 is enough to make you close shop for 30mins and watch a cartoon. ![]()
Hope this helps someone. ![]()
Take care!! I don't know what I'd do without my DE!! You guys are so awesome!!
What's the highest you've been able to get your rating? 12's here.
There's a new spawn that might be able to get me higher, I'm going to try it today. ![]()
Read TH's post, stickied at the top. (Question 4)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.) What does mechanism rating mean for crafting stations, and is there a correlation with the rating on architect made crafting stations? If so, could you give us a hint on how it correlates?

In short, this gives you a better chance to resist critical failures. It works like Quality Modifiers on Crafting tools.

I had read that, but I am suspicious... has anyone run any tests to get some idea if this is true?
If TH said it, it MUST be true... ROFL
