Thread: Stupid Noob question

I am a 0/1/0/3 weaponsmith and was just experimenting on a few weapons (yeah I know the weapons I can make now suck...) I was wondering, on the speed on projecile rifle/pistol barrels - is the (negative) speed better when it is higher or lower? For example, is -.40 better than -.30?

I know its a stupid question....but sometimes when I experiment, I would get a "great success" but the speed would go lower..like from -.40 to -.36 or something. I would naturally assume that a higher negative speed would be better as it lowers the speed on the overall gun. But sometimes on "moderate success" the speed would go lower..so Im clueless.

Is the (negative) speed better when it is higher or lower? Why does a great success lower the (negative) speed while a moderate success raises the (negative) speed? (These are just 2 examples that happened to me, sometimes great/moderate successes reverses the actual results I got)

Roommie's a WS on Corbantis. I get to hear him gripe day and night about it. On the plus side he gets to hear me whine about architects

There are no stupid questions, except for the ones that aren't asked.

Skill tapes cannot be crafted. They are a looted item and anybody can acquire them by killing and looting NPC's.

And what is up with that smell?

BE's can make some skilltapes too, like scout skilltapes and warcry skilltapes.

MY SIG FULL OF HILARIOUS QUOTES. Or not.
"placing a house in the middle of their city is the equivilant as taking a poop in the middle of someone's family room" - Wolfgang (Better!)
"at work reading about living rooms filled with poop, acronyms, and Eggshenn-filled sigs ... sounds tasty ... does the sig come with whipped cream?" Chibi (woo!)

No they can not.

Jedi will be rare and difficult - No
Increased Dev communication - No
CU will balance combat - No
Most of the bugs from launch fixed - No
saintchuck will continue to pay - No

- I supported the CURB, the Devs and the attempt to make SWG a better game and have realized it didn't work so I'm quitting in less than 2 days and won't be tricked into coming back again. Trick me once, shame on you...

Those are special clothing components. They are not skill tapes, nor do they use clothing sockets.

What exactly is a "Solo group"?

Its when you group up with a lot of people so that you get more xp for kills and/or get the high level/ 30k+ payout missions

The portion the previous poster stated is correct, but the key part is that you are grouped but hunting alone. So every member of teh group gets their own missions instead of going out and doing the missions as a group.

(key part of why it is a "solo" group)

No longer holding out hope, SWG will never be the game we fought so hard for, that we believed so much in. Farewell friends.
