Thread: Credits for the poor (artisans)
Thanks for your input!
here's what i did--take delivery missions--buy harvester--harvest--put resources on bazaaar
cheaper than everyone else--collect money--add a harvester or two--continue to undercut the competetion
on the bazaar...
i was and still am in the same boat as you are. what you need is a few good friends to help you with some simple destroy missions. Kreetles are easy to start out with. i havent sold anything i made yet and im novice WS. all my income have come from friends, and destroy missions.
as soon as you get up to pistol 2 and close to expert, they get pretty easier. i run 3 to 4 missions per day to pay maintenance for my 2 personal harvesters and my wind gen. when you get to pistol 2 and close to expert, you can solo the kreetles. after i do 3 or 4 missions i grind out what my 2 harvesters have dug up for me.
i was in the same boat as far as credits go when i first started. if you are clever about the way you take delivery missions then you can make enough creds to get you started for destroy missions. find 2 destroy missions the head to the same city. make sure you have enough creds for the shuttle trip there and then take 2 more on the way back to your home town. if done properly you can make about 3k in a round trip. do that a few times and then find a decent scout blaster to buy. the rate of fire is much better than a CDEF and so is the damage. use that blaster to take destroy missions. again always take 2 missions that lead to the same general area. if you find a modified scout blasterwith a low attack speed and high damage for that gun,it is sometimes better to not use special shots. more powerful but longer in between shots is not always better than faster and less powerful shots.
hope this helps a little bit

Its really a matter of finding what will sell in a specific area. There's almost no point in trying to sell CDEF weapons because the bazaar in every town is flooded with them. I've had good luck with weapon powerups and once I could craft weapon and armor repair kits I was set. They never stayed on the bazaar for more than 24 hours and I could mark them up ten to one over my costs. Its still not alot but it will get you to the point that you can build / buy harvesters which is when you can start selling resources on the bazaar. It takes a while to ramp up but I never had to depend on the other people for handouts.

Here's a tip that I used when I started. And I have an expert BH now.... just starting Artisan on new server.
Buy the highest damage pistol you can get. Get novice marksman... which you should have skill points for. Don't worry you can surrender it later down the line.
Use overcharge shot over and over and over to kill things. It breaks your weapon faster, but does good damage. Low end weapons are cheap and easy to replace. I had hell of a time on kreetles before finding out about overcharge shot... I quickly learned how easy it was to use. At only the first pistol box I was 1-2 shotting kreetles and getting 1000+ a mission.
A good CDEF pistol should be upwards of 60 max damage. Throw on a cheap powerup for some more damage.
Also check the bazaar most of the times they are empty of droid battieys and repair kits.
Cheap to make and they sell for 200 or so each.
