Does anyone have any information regarding what benefits you get at each level of the FS Survey tree? Now I realize that this tree give a + to your survey skill but what exactly do these +'s give you in practice? Enhanced range? more resource info?
Your info is greatly appreciated.....

Enhanced range would be very nice, but I'm guessing you just get more units when sampling by hand.
On a side note, does anyone know if the survey seas work?

I picked up this line when I lucked into getting a FS char on TC2 when pub9 was getting tested.
They definitely give you extended range: with Survey IV and Force Survey IV, I could set my survey tools to 320m 6x6. I didn't really do enough testing to see if you get bigger stacks (or succeed more often), but I'm going to assume that's the case.
I've seen a lot of reports of+survey SEAs not working, but I haven't tested them myself. I do know that the +survey food works, but you have to remember to reset your survey tool to get the extended range.

From the testing I did in P9 on TC:
I was able to set any quality survey tool to 384 range.
On a 90+ concentration I was getting a lot of 10, 11, 12, sample sizes.
Not sure if any of this changed since this is live now. Iintend to pick this tree up, since I sample a lot in the background.

I just got the survey tree and am now able to set my survey tools to 384 range.
In actual use, I'm not sure if it is making much difference. I'll have to do some more testing.

I wonder what it would do if you don't have artisan surveying 4? For example let you get up to the same range as Survey 4 with oly Survey3 + FS Surveying. That would save 5 skill points

Yep...with Survey3 + FS result is same as Survey 4

But what is Survey 4 + FS?
That is the question that really needs to be answered.
According to past TH comments the result is literally nothing beyond Survey 4.
Anyone state differently?

I have Survey 4 plus the FS survey tree. Now there is a 384m range setting on my survey tools. In actual practice, there isn't much difference that I can see.
In retrospect, I probably wouldn't take the FS survey tree again. There are more useful FS trees in my opinion.

I thought it was supposed to point out where the best place is for you to put a harv. Or is that just a rumor?
