This message may or may not belong here but i have a few friends that read this board also and it is easier for me to post here than wait to contact. So if it does not belong please forgive me.
a friendfrom outside Naboo , Theed has been banned . I was said she recieved dupe credits.she is a merchant too. But a architect first and foremost in my opinion let alone a dear friend. I was told she was sent an out of game email in concerns to the dupe credits , but did not recieve most likely becuase of our spam filters we use . I was just wondering if anyone else has heard of this stuff happening and what the thoughts are?
If it had not been for a few of the ones they are banning i would have quit a long time ago . These are some of the nicer ones in game , but because of a fualty transaction they have lost their accounts now. So i guess i am trying to inform peeps to check there out of game emails closer but also get feed back of some sort as i dont want top see alot of friends go over this credit dupe crap.

One of the most prominent mayor/guild leader/businesspeople on Kettemoor got banned, in addition to at least half a dozen other innocent and respectable folks. The Developers don't seem to have taken any consideration of guild or innocence into these things. We had a guy tipping a million credits to people who passed by him in the starport in Coronet. Turns out he was duping.
"You have received 1000000 bank credits from RandomPerson"
Now what do you do? You're guilty too.
Report them? That's what Jergo did.
Contact a CSR? That's what Jergo did.
Tip the money back? That's what Jergo did.
AND JERGO GOT BANNED FOR IT. You could be next.

I believe that the current solution is
Report the Tip
Contact a CSR
Tip the CSR
I think that they have a few cred-killing characters to remove the creds from the economy.

Credit duping is so much BS. They really need to investigate it more to see where people are receiving the credits. If you are selling things ona vender and someone buys anything off it with duped credits you are guilty, but how are you supposed to know? You are doing what you have always done. Selling your merchandise like a good artisan.
It isn't right that how a few people can ruin so many people's gaming just because they are lazy and figure out a way to dupe credits.

Unfortuneately that's the way it works. In RL, if you owna business and someone passes off counterfit money, YOU are responsible for it even though you may never had seen the person and had no idea the money was fake.
EXTREMELY unfair, but being that you can't prove your innocence (andSOE doesn't seem to care if you are or not) if someone hands you duped money for any reason, you'repretty much screwed.

The Devs are aware of this. The vast majority of the innocent crafters have been reinstated and the griefers are being rounded up as we speak.
As you are no doubt expecting, this is quite a hot topic with us in the Corre board.

Well, good. Because we all know if you have a vender and someone buys something off of it you have no clue they were there or if they are dirty.Glad to see they are getting reinstated.
