I touched on this in the C12 thread. but i thought it merited its own thread
We need another firework. The one we are really missing, THE THUNDER BOOM type 100
What is a type 100? its the one that all grand finally's have, well at least in the real world. I do firework shows. Not the lamo firework packages,,well they are neat for a few seconds : ) But i do accual shows. I load up my inventory with fireworks and hot key um, I do it in sets of 24 and then when the row is empty i start restocking. I do 8-15 min shows generally and people seam to enjoy them. the only problem is the grand finally. It is really missing the big booms. You know what im talking about, the ones that really get your excitement and all the cheers going.
Those of you with nice speakers with a sub would really get the best effect. To add this is would be really easy. Remove the effects from a normal firework, add in a large sound file, and possibly a large flash. From an art and code stand point this would be a very simple task compared to many other things. It would really add to the whole fireworks selection and i think it would up the cool factor 100%
Any thoughts?

Amen! The current interface makes packing 750+ packages a real chore.

I've added four fireworks issues to our issues list.
1) Fireworks Show Packages user interface: Drag and drop to add fireworks. Further, delays and order need to be manageable. The UI model, in part, I'm thinking of is similar to the interface used on entertainer effects modules in droids.
2) Fireworks show packages will not launch from the radial menu in your inventory. They will launch from the toolbar. [1]
3) Individual fireworks do not show what effect they do either in the schematic description or in the final product. It's only when the firework is loaded into the show package that you see the description of the effect. That description should be added to the schematic and final product.
4) We need 'boom' type fireworks.
Does this sound about right for fireworks issues?

Don't need to sign, it isn't a petition. It is part of the issues list I'm pulling together to submit.
Take care,

Since we're on the topic of fireworks: I created a fireworks show, but when I click on "launch" nothing happens. I can launch single rockets, but I can't seem to get the package to go. I packed in 15 rockets to one show, but no launch. Am I doing something wrong?

that list sounds like a great start, though i would add a couple..
Larger fireworks shows. Maybe 100, 250 and 500?
an easier interface. You touched on it. I would say drag and drop. and maybe add room for numerous to be launched at once. Think of open up an inventory looking box. It has 4 collums X fireworks package amount. You drag and drop to the box for what order you want. Possible delays could be added at the end of the line, and where multi fireworks on the same row fire at once. Does that make since?
other than that you got a great list. Right on guru, outta all the corespondents i have seen on the boards you are one of the tops man. You really have a grip on what the people want.Cheerio !

Great Idea! I have tried to pull Dancers and Musicians out of the cantina for a change of pace and do a fireworks show. I give newbies, 3-5 of them, a bunch of fireworks and try to time it so that towards the end we are all setting them off together.
When done at night with the dancers and musicians to add to feeling of the show, it's really great to watch. The newbies love it and the dancers/musicians seem to like the change of being outside.
Also would be nice to have a ingame listing menu to setup a show. Drop fireworksX into slot 1, FireworksY into slot 2, ect.. then be able to save that show, like a deed kinda thing showing what is slated for the show within that package. Then give the holder the option to fire the next "Sloted" firework at will with a Launch button for EACH sloted fireworks. Think of it as a crate of fireworks with a listing of the contents and ability to fire the next round from the crate at will.
Example: fireworks package with 30 Sloted fireworks within the package. 4 holders, each with their own package.
The group could fire at set intervals as to how fast the show will be displayed as they control when and how fast the show progresses. Then when all 4 holders got to the last 10 Sloted fireworks they could just spam all 10 and really light it up!
