Once you reach a lvl 4 engineer to get to novice artchitect takes about 35000 xp points now at a rate of TOPs

57 xp points for creating a floral survey tool (which i have found gives the best xp for crafting) will take forever to accomplish if I have a product such as a wind generator and its complexity is 17 i create it i get no xp at all for crafting.

I f i however create a floral survey tool wich has a complexity of7, I get 57xp now that is plain dumb maybe including any items in your crafting tool made you get some xp for it.

Raising the xp you recieve for crafting it, in order to build personal harvestors it takes several resources to build it, you have allready done quite a bit of leg work to either harvest the minerals your self or have purchased them from the bazzars then to build these products only to find that the xp is null is simply plain wrong, u r creating the item as u would anything else but the higher the complexity or difficulty of building the product the more xp should be rewarded apon successfull completion not punished

I agree. I was rather disheartened to find small extractors give zero xp for building them despite the resource reqs. Make either bone armor leggings or chestplates, or even better travel packs. They are best for grinding on upto architect.

And once you get there you get a proper amount of xp for what you build

Personal Extractors/Harvesters and Generators currently give Structure XP. This does make some sense as they are structures. The Devs have already stated that Harvesters (at least) will be changed back to general crafting XP soon.

Maybe I am just looking in the wrong place, but I can not make sense of the Artisan missions, especially the ones asking for resources, they never tell me WHAT resource I am after.. where do I get more information when I get these?

All it says is the category of what you need so if it ask for metal it's any kind of metal in that category.

If it says you need Inert Gas, you're looking for any Inert Gas. It never tells you what particular type you will need. You can get even more generic missions that state just Gas, then any gas would fit - Inert or Reactive. They generally pay less though.

If it says Metal, just look for something that's metal i.e. Copper, Aluminum, Steel, etc.

I just added "Artisan" to my Skilltree just to try a little out... I also wanted to do an Artisan Survey Mission. But somehow they don't work ( or I am too dumb )

I take the Mission, with i.e. 70% Metal, then leave the city and when I'm around 1000m away from the Terminal I start to sample and when I find the 70% metal , then I survey there - Nothing. Am I doing something wrong ?

Please help

I am an Artisan also. They just changed the disance you must be from the terminal from 512 meters to 1024 meters. I do these missions too when I need a little extra cash. Luckily, I have some Scouting skills in Exploriation so I can run up hills without too much problem. Was causeing a headache until I got that.

Have fun surveying.

Im a master artisan, droid engineer, weaponsmith, armorsmith and architect. The artisan missions are still the same boring ones with low 500 credit payouts. The best way for an artisan to make money from missions is to get a couple of pistol handling boxes, a good scout blaster, and do regular combat missions like everyone else.

I disagree, artisan missions are all dependant on the location. For example, on one server, I am an artisan with Engineering four, and am getting artisan crafting missions for 1300-1400 each. Granted, this is not much money compared to what destroy missions will make.

Starting out for artisan, the best missions I have found are crafting missions that you pick up in Moenia and deliver to Deja Peak, both of which are in Naboo. (for those who might not realise this) These missions pay around 1300 credits per mission, and the shuttle ticket only costs 115 credits either way. In short order, as a new character, you can easily start making 5000-10000 credits per hour simply running these. An added bonus is the small amount of crafting xp you get when you have to make the items.

It isn't much, but it allowed me to start on the Tempest server, knowing no one. Within two days, four hours per day, I managed to advance all the way to novice weaponsmith without any help whatsoever.

For some reason, known only to the Devs, the reward for the Artisan mission improves dramatically if you've got a decent weapon equipped. With empty hands I get 500cr missions, pick up the FWG5 pistol and I get 1800cr missions.

Because as everyone knows, in order to build items or survey for resources, it's vital that you have a really powerful weapon in your hand, right?
