Thread: Powerups still bugged, just bugged different?

So I try the new patch on weapon powerups, go through my crafting, after assemble my coupler changes to hot-wired coupler.

Great! I think.

As I experiment I see the name doesn't change and neither does the stats.

I get the last screen of crafting, still hot wired.

When I actually get the thing in my inventory I am dissapointed. It's still a 30% 15% powerup, but it's not a hotwired, it's short circuited!

Seems my max damage got bumped to the secondary.

You still can't make powerups in a factory this way! I'm not going to run off 100 "tuned muzzles" and get polished muzzles I can't give away! Has anyone tried actually running them through a factory? Do they work then?

Hmm...maybe they kept it random just to keep us from flooding the market with speed and max damage powerups. I'm actually just glad to hear they are coming out with bonuses myself--at least that's a start!

Just tried powerups in the factory, put a hotwired schem in that i experimented up to 30 some percent max dmg, when i got them out of the crates they were +5% that corresponds to what they were before i experimented. Geez, just when I think im out they pull me back in.

5%, great, I'll sell those!

As for the second post, that's fine, but for the love of god don't do it that way! Just randomly assign them on an individual basis at the factory, so that my crate of 25 has a mix of them in it, instead of 25 useless powerups.

The risk in production is too high that way. No point in doing it if I'm going to get all tweaked couplers or scattering muzzles.

Same here. If you look at the schematics......they have the pre-experimentation values on them.

THEY CLAIM THIS UPGRADE HAS BEEN ON THE TEST CENTER FOR 3 WEEKS NOW.....NOBODY NOTICED THIS?

WHAT!?!?!?! DO YOU DEVS FUQING GET HIGH BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO WOORK ON PATCHES?!?!

THATS IT, THIS IS THE LAST TIME. IM NOT PAYING TO BETA TEST THIS GAME FOR THEM. GAME FUQING OVER. CANCELING MY ACCOUNT NOW!

I read this recommendation yesterday: Experiment, make a schematic, put in enough materials for one powerup, see what comes out, if you like it put in the rest of materials, if not take the schematic out. Will this work? Please let me know if you test it, I will be buying a factory in the next couple of days but don't have one yet so I don't know if this plan will work. Thanks in advance.

That's a clever, if annoying, solution.

That said, if the above guy is right (my factories are in moth balls at the moment) it won't matter because my experimentation won't be counting, and my powerups will be +5%.

Just tried to test it...

At least you could get yours out of the crate! I just tried, everytime, number beside the crate goes from 1 to nothing then right back up to 1!

Tried making a crate of 2. Goes from 2 to 1 right back to 2!

Maybe I need a smuggler to open my apparently locked crate.

I can't even drop it on my house floor.

I had trouble with that as well, you have to max out the crate, which i think is 10, then it will allow you to access the crate. They patched it to more stupid things, cant believe this.

Wonderful. I am also reading that houses now are capped at 50 items. Can anyone confirm this? I guess the 5 crates I have in my house right now are taking up half my space....I don't know what I'll do with all the other stuff in there when I get home today. I guess I'll be destroying display clothing, extra powerups and furniture.

The crate bug just went away. Must have been some sort of lag issue or something.

The powerups don't work in factories by the way. He's right. Experimenation results are not affecting the factory produced product. You can experiment from 28% efficiency to 91%, you'll get a 28% out the other side.

Yup, I can't see how they even tested this because one test would have shown that they didn't really fix the problem.

Well... I have been waiting a long time for this fix. Searched for the best materials. Master artisan. Got my factory in place.... Experiment until i get a 99% more effective item with the best materials i can find. Great! Load the schematic into the factory. Hotwired +32% more damage...

Let it run a moment. Stop it. Take out a crate of 2... wrestle with it 20 minutes and straggle one out due to the 2,1,2,1,2,1,2 bug. Look at it and it is exactly 10% of what the schmatic was. Instead of 32% it was 3.2%. I think they left a zero off something. No... its not the experimentation being missed. I can craft it with my materials and no experimentation and achieve 4 times this 3.2 number. The factory is making the item 10% of what it should be. Useless crates of trash...

I really love how they code for months and then ask us what it does
