....that the devs do not name a new corrospondant until after the CURB goes live.
Odds are currently 3-1.
Anyone want to bet against me?

I can't see them waiting that long. I'm surprised that we still don't have one. Guess they didn't like who applied.

I think its a spit in the face if they don't. I don't think a new corrospondant could get a whole lot done between now and then but none at all will get even less done.
I've pretty much given up, I'm just waiting to watch the pieces fall where they may. The devs have given us no reason to believe that they're willing to work with us.
To have a civil discourse and to come up with solutions both sides have to be willing to work at it. So far only our side is. Its like a bad marriage where one party wants to try and work things out and the other doesn't, try as you might you're just delaying the inevitable divorce.

Well we know I suck, but what about the other capable candidates? I would have thought Moge would have been in by now were they going to pick a new Corro.

They aren't going to name one. As soon as they do, they'll have to as least communicate with him/her to show that the correspondent position really is something and not a figurehead. Blixtev is obviously reading these posts at some point because he's responded to a few. So has Tiggs..albeit probably only around with Okram was canned. our frustrations haven't changed much in the last week or so and they haven't responded. Why appoint a correspondent and then have people expect some sort of communication right away?
Sorry.....I'm not usually this pessimistic. Been a long day at work. I'll always hope for the best, but try to recognize reality.

Personally, I'm shocked they haven't named the new one already. Average turnaround on correspondent openings is around a week, though given the circumstances around this one and the huge impending changes, one would think that a speedy turnaround on this one would be the key.
I guess we'll see ... if no one is named by the end of the week, then we'll know where we stand for sure.

The number of nominations for Okram to be given his position back may have placed him under evaluation to be reinstated, although I for one would be greatly disappointed if this was the case. As much as I admire him for willing to pay the highest price for his community, what he did may have been a little uncalled for, saying that I would have done the same.
Bottom line, only a couple weeks left anyway, how much could a new corr help when the last one (7 months as a corr and damned good at it) was simply ignored. The devs are gonna wait for everything to die down, everyone is still pissed at his being fired and even more pissed about the state of the Post-CU AS, anyone who applied is likely to attempt to jump right the same issues that they ignored from Okram.
I love talking to my non-SWG playing friends about the dumb stuff that gets pulled in this game, they loved the idea that every "class" had a representitive that passes on player feedback to developers in an effort to keep each profession looked after, they however refused to believe that one could be offically fired. I was asked today how SoE has managed to keep this game going seeing as their customer services department sucks so bad, and I had to give the honest answer: "I've asked myself that same question many times, I honestly don't know why. Surprised I haven't quit yet" that days seems to get closer and closer the more I hear about the CU.
Potential Armoursmith (Pre-CU)
Post-CU, who knows?

You're on but I'll have to limit it to 250c since that's all I'll have on Radiant.

Anyone want to bet against me?
I bet they do, but I'm betting they'll name someone that isn't an armorsmith currently.

That's one of the major qualifications to being a correspondent is to at least know the profession.
Whomever gets picked I bet they wrote a pro-CU application
