can someone summarize what I missed, and explain conversion
thanks
Sure, be happy to, from my perspective at least:
- Okram complained the Devs weren't listening; abused his authority by advocated mass spamming PMs to the devs for a response which broke the rules, and then was promptly fired from his corro position with no blue glowie status, prompting the forums here to revolt.
- I got involved, defended the fact that the devs were merely enforcing the rules we should abide by, and got flamed, and then I lost my cool and began flaming back.
- Tiggs posted the day after that the Corro position was now open, which led to more flames. I tossed my hat in the arena, and engaged in a flame war with several people who did not want me in that position. Anyone else who said they tossed their hat in the ring also was promptly flamed by the community.
- Took the weekend off, came back, and realized I was being a jerk to people, and only fanning the flames more. Constructive posts began appearing again. Apologized for my behaviour, but reiterated that it was only my behaviour I was apologizing for, not for the points I believe in. Let people know I no longer would be seeking the Corro position, and would only accept it if it were insisted by the devs that I take it.
- Forum life begins to return to semi-normalcy, and is becoming more constructive again, with a few small pockets of flamers still holding out here and there.

Why on earth would you think his question was related to you in any way shape of form?

Ahh..come'on...don't start a flame war on this thread.
JangoFett100 wrote:But to summarize:Okram wasn't getting a response from the devs on many issues, and asked everyone to PM Blix. It didn't go over well, and he got fired. We have seen the schems on TC and are generally not happy. The resource requirements are tripleing, and we will need 4X the organics. We can't use the bulk of our current resource. There is only 1 line worth experimenting anymore. The conversion has some good and bad points. Good: You can change composite into any other type of armor.Bad: Layer/segments/loot does not have stats. I assume this is a bug and will be fixed. There's plenty more, but that ought to get you started.
Will add..that the combat system gives damage multipliers based on the difference in levels of the combatents. Potentially lots of issues with this for combat profs, but for AS it may make armor not worthwhile if it can't help too much against higher level mobs and doesn't make much difference on the same or lower level mobs. Testing is still being done.
on the Good from above: Composite can be changed to anything? I must have missed that somewhere.
* Okram posted in the correspondents forum, requesting information regarding our CU concerns. Waited for a response. Didn't get one. Posted another request for information. Waited for a response. Didn't get one. Posted a thread here suggesting we all ask the devs for information, and got fired from his correspondent's position for it. Irony: they still haven't responded to his/our request for information regarding our concerns. Additional irony: According to Okram, Zion was one of the first to PM the devs, and also the first to crucify Okram for suggesting it in the first place.

* The devs slightly reduced some of the organic resource requirements in some AS schematics. The over all usage is still up quite a bit from pre-nerf usage.
* Overall resource usage is still way out of line, and all pre-nerf resources are still completely worthless.Still no word from the devs on if/when this will change.
* Armor is almost (as in, very close to being) completely worthless in PvE. Any creature just a few levels above you will hit you so hard that you might as well be standing there in your undies. Again, no word from the devs on if/when this will change.
* They are still using the arcane 4 digit number in an attempt to show armor's usefulness. Again, no word from the devs on when/if this will change.
* Armor complexity is still so high that you will grow old long before your armor cores will be done cooking in the factory. Again, no word from the devs on if/when this will change.
* Armor experimentation is still unacceptable. Again, no word from the devs on when/if this will change.
* We have yet to hear any of our concerns addressed in any way. Even a "you ain't gonna get anything" post would be better than nothing.
* It is the armor smith profession's darkest hour, we have no correspondent to represent us, and we are spending most of our time flaming each other in the forums.
But did you enjoy your five days off, Justapilgrim? ![]()

Because sadly, I was one of the main reasons that the flames kept going in this forum.

if you are anything like britney spears... blame the red bull

what exactly has made the old resources worthless? Is the experimentation still based on OQ-SR?
btw - i was also in vegas for the past 5 days and came back to this mess
