Thread: Well...Word is out. Might as well Respec now. The AS profession will soon be dead.Tested aug17
Well guys. I ve tested it personally and found out that armor still protects as if it was new with condition 1/1. i had a bud shoot me and i was absorbing 56.1% damage. i then took my pants and broke it by using a crappy repair kit. it resulted in condition 1/1 and the stats didnt even change. i then equiped only that broken piece of armor and had my bud shoot me again with the same attack and weapon. i looked at my combat logged and noticed when my one equiped piece of broken armor got hit its was still absorbing 56.1% energy as if was still new.
Dont kid your selves with rumors, go and test it for yourself. I hate to say, "the sky is falling," but this is devasting to our profession. Like i said word is out and people know about this bug as it has been brought up to me in game by several people. so dont blame jedi unlocking for lack of sales but for people knowing that broken armor still works like new. And if your sales are not affected it will only be a matter of time.

Nah, I rather keep blaming the Jedi ![]()
Haven't had any problems with sales, larger problems with keeping the vendor stocked. Especially since the blasted color bug makes me have to hand craft all armors...
If you read some of the threads before posting you would know this has been brought up more than once and tested to find that 0 condition armor DOES NOT protect...

Didnt bring this up before and make a stink about cause i didnt want people to know. Was also hopeing this would get fixed, b4 people realized it, but the word is out and this means the death to our profession. For those of u that didnt know, armor still worked, especially psg's, to full resists even thou it decayed to less then 50% or even 1/1. I have more and more people telling this to me in game and i'm starting to see sells drop dramatically. So if u think armor sales were down because everyone unlocked jedi, you are mistaken. Its because eveyone knows that armor still works even thou its broken.
So...no sense in being secretive anymore. We need to get on the bandwagon and raise some hell to get this fixed. This problem has been known to the devs since cu. i have sent in bug reports and Caille has also brought this up to the DEVs personally. And here we are a few months later since CU and no fix for it yet.
This let this be the official thread to get things rolling for support to get this fixed. Like i said there is no reason to be quiet about this anymore, people know already.

he is not talking about 0/0 condition armor, he is talking about 1/1 condition armor. if you repair your armor and you fail, it becomes 1/1 and for all you that didnt complete math class that =100%
A JEDI!

For those of you not paying attention, a failed repair has ALWAYS resulted in 1/1 condition. Before the CU, that meant your armor was broken and no longer protected you. Whether that is the case now, I don't know. Have to find some zero-condition armor.
Considering that probably 95% of peeps are group pve grinding why would they need much protetction. A lot of my customers are happy if they can survive a few hits and hope that the rest of the group can share the damage dealt. This has been brought up to me by several people. So many people dont require a whole lot of protection.
I'm not really concerened about the sales but more with armor working as they are intended.
Will get back with some screenies on test rsults and hopefully we can determine the extent of this problem

For those of you who didn't complete reading the threads are about 1/1 not 0/0 so I mis-typed and you didn't read the threadsso I guess that makes us about even... and to respond to the first part of this some more... Uhhh no I haven't noticed much of a drop in armor sales... though I have noticed someone trying to undercut me by flooding the marked with suits 100k cheaper LOL
