Me and a buddy are gonna be producing some RIS armor on Sunrunner. Was wondering what are some of the best stats you have gotten on your suits of RIS?

Same as any ol' battle armor except for condition. I've gotten primus layered RIS to 6497 (Oh so close) kinetic and energy with 102k condition.

Except the feathers don't add health or anything. Since they're optional, you can skip it.
Got a suit to 90k last night on Eclipse, but I know I could do better if I had better resources. (Still the best I could find short of using a 30k crate.)

Nah, they've never been a "requirement." Pre CU they were needed for RIS layers. The only RIS layer most people made was for the quest. You could get better nightsister layers or use your own. Post CU, feathers are still part of the quest, but they go in a feathered appearance enhancer that is an optional component to any armor. Only they do nothing to enhance appearance, instead granting a health bonus. If health bonuses worked at all.

Best stats for me on R.I.S were 7000/5000/6000
However, I also made a unlayered set that is 6000 across the board. Personally, I dont feel that it worth the effort to make a suit that has a 7000 energy resist since its only 4% more protection.
Thats just me though.

I just made some primus-layered battle cores that I plan to use in RIS. They were 6209, so my RIS should come out 6609.
edit: energy-layered battle cores came out 6677 energy/4623 kinetic, so they should make armor that is 7077 energy/5023 kinetic.
If you ask me, I don't really get why people want energy-layered RIS, unless they have a template that prevents them from wearing non-layered recon armor, which is just as good as energy layered RIS and much, much cheaper.
