2, RIS has vulnerability to acid and stun, kinetic as special protection.
6, good luck!
7, the peko feather itself doesnt add anything it is a mandatorycomponent to the RIS Layer.
8, Stats varies and there is a thread describing every loot component for armorsmiths somewhere here.
2) I know that, but I need PICTURES. Links to them to be precise.
7) It's not madnatory, and from what I have heard from people in the know, it slightly raises the base %. Its because of misinformation like that that I am putting together this FAQ.
8) I have seen that, and I know stat veries, but there is a base, or most common, set of stats per item, and that is what I am looking for. Also, the Guide to AS, that lists the various loots, does not say whether they go into the layer enhancement or segment enhancement slot.

In regards to the Peko Feathers...
They are a mandatory component for RIS Layers - not the suit itself. They do not raise the base themselves, but instead can be used in a RIS layer to improve the base and/or reduce the encumbrance based on the stats of the other resources used in the layers- the feathers themselves are all identical and statless.
You can combine several layers (well 2 after the patch) into every piece of RIS - its not compulsary, but if you want a RIS layer, the feather is a mandatory component.
He was not providing misinformation... you were misreading.
In regards to getting screenshots of a full suit of RIS - you'd better ask a CSR or Dev - I dont think theres any players with a full suit known.
In regards to 2)
You wont get any pictures of the modified stat list for RIS yet until some existing stuff is screenshotted post patch - its not like someone on test can just cobble some together on a whim to test it - we can only go off the reports from the devs to the correspondant.
Just a stupid question though... why do we need another RIS faq ? Theres already one on the subject for a piece of armour which probably affects less than 1% of people on the server... its not worth it really.
If you follow the links in my sig back to my imagedump gallery you'll find a few pictures of the interwoven RIS segment schematic. Basically the schematic as a loot item, the system message given when learned, and the draft schematic in the datapad.
The interwoven RIS segment requires the same resources and loot components as the regular RIS segment except that Rori fiberplast is replaced by Yavinian animal bones. It also requires a Geonosian power cube and has a slot for a third layer.
I'm not sure if it has inherently higher resists (like an advanced segments vs. normal segments) since I've never run a normal RIS segment with the resources I'm currently using.
All of the loot components - peko peko albatross feather in the RIS layer, gurk king hide and woolamander harrower bone fragment in the RIS segment, and the giant dune kimogila scales in the final RIS combine - are required components, do not add anything to the stats, and fit into a specific slot (not the segment enhancer or layer slots). They're similar to syn cloth, RFP's, and FP's in that they add nothing to the stats but are simply a required component.

You misread that - I was refering to additions, like janta hide, krayt scales, ns shards and layers, etc.
Also, I want to put this together for armorsmiths and players alike because RIS is hard enough - we need something to give people all the help they can get.
Finally, I HAVE SEEN pics of people in a full suit of RIS, although not on my native server, so I know that just about every screenshot I have asked for aside from each piece showcasing the new stats is out there. I have seen them here and there, and know they exist. I just don't remember where to find them.
Thanks Jaato. Its a start. I will look it over again, but I don't think its as descriptive as I would like.
I need to find a MAS who has made RIS armor and who is willing to detail a step by step process on how the armor is assembled, and what is needed.

Aside from the loot components, there is nothing different about crafting RIS armor. Considering that the only people that are going to be crafting this stuff are master armorsmiths, I can assure you that they already know the kinds of things you're asking for.
If you're trying to put together a guide to RIS for the non-armorsmith, here's all you need to know:
1.) Get loot components - one gurk king hide (Lok), woolamander harrower bone fragment (Woolamander temple, Yavin IV), and giant dune kimogila scale (Lok) is required per piece. One peko peko albatross feather is required for every RIS layer if you choose to go that route instead of using normal layers or Nightsister layers.
2.) Decide how you want the special protections and vunerabilities addressed.Kinetic is the default special protection, acid and stun the default vunerabilites. Layers can be used to enhance the resists and/or used to plug up the vunerabilities. Nighsister layers will lower the encumbrance and raise the base resists. If your armorsmith is using regular RIS segments, you have two layers to play with. If your 'smith is using interwoven segments, you have three.
3.) Decide what segment enhancers you want to use. Janta hide (base resist increase) or Nightsister shards (encumbrance decrease) seem to be popular, but again the normal rules of armorcrafting apply here - simply look at the available segment enhancers and choose the one that fits your goals. The only thing that is different from normal armorcrafting here is if the 'smith is using interwoven RIS segments. In that caseyou also havea slot for Geonosian power cubes, which can enhance the base (yellow), lower the encumbrance (red), or increase the condition (green).
Beyond those three things crafting RIS is just like crafting any other type of armor, and questions regarding general armorcrafting are covered very well in the Armorsmith FAQ.
