I threw my hat into the ring. I'd hope a few others did, too. There are certainly a good number of people here who could do the job well.

Considering the track record of Tiggs, Devs, and CSR, I would consider this JOB a total waste of time and effort.

We have had a factory bug for how long now?

Yet somehow the dev team had the time to create another expansion.

The only priority at SOE is money and that means the correspondants are just figure heads to help make it look like gamequality matters.

From my perspective, they are looking for players to do their job, cause they are too cheapand lazy to do it themselves.

Didn't you know? They fixed the factory bug. It's right there in the patch notes! You must be color blind!

I think seeing the last few correspondants be virtually ignored (and in my case r/l time commitments) is what has kept most people from being interested.

I think it is better if a newer smith gets it anyway. Thiswill allow them to learn the profession much more quickly. Also, their insight on being a non-master post-CU will be much more valuable than us old-folks who mastered under a different system. We'll always be lurking around to help with the details, anyway

We should just have an automated correspondent. Anytime we ask it a question, it can say things like.
"I have addressed this with the dev team, and they assured me they are looking into it", or perhaps "that issue is not a bug, it is working as intended" , "I have brought this to the attention of the devs", "there are plans for a fix in the next publish".. "we are next in line for a hot fix"

It would be easy enough to program these automated responses, we would get the same information we have always gotten (near none), and it would save the poor correspondent from being caught in the middle between devs and players, with no solid information or cooperation to rely on.

Until the dev team actually pays attention and communicates with the correspondents, we will not be heard nor our problems fixed. I have seen correspondents come and go here, and it always seems to be the same frustration. They do a good job of bringing our concerns and ideas forward to the devs. But they are given nothing back to report to us from the dev team , except non-commital generic response. It has to be a frustrating posistion, and the feeling of futility must wear on you.

If there was a little forthright communication, and blatant honesty trickling back down to us from the dev team, they would find a lot more patience. Something like "sorry guys, we thought we had the color bug fixed, turns out there was another flaw in the code we missed. We will have it fixed by "x" date.
Honesty , a timeline where we can expect to see results, those results actually happening when promised. These things would all help. I think SOE needs to do a big coorporate retreat based on customer service.

Imagine ordering a steak in a restaurant, and it comes to your table after an hour, and it turns out its chicken. Then the server gets an attitude and says the cooks are aware of the problem and are working on a fix. another hour goes by , they bring you a steak, but its raw. The server says well we gave you your steak. After you convince the server the steak is raw, they say, i will let the kitchen know. You ask how long til you get your steak, the server tells you the kitchen is now too busy for your steak, they are working on a new expansion. This is soe customer service. Makes me wonder how we all still play.
