Why anyone would want to a correspondant in any crafting profession boggles the mind. It's like asking for a beating. Or, trying to convince people that the ship is not sinking, after the captain, crew, and even rats have already bailed... yeah, they all had a sudden hankering to go swimming.

i throught together a quick application, mainly because i have idea's of the direction that we should be heading (we are heading in the opposite). Mainly i believe there should be elite level armor and recieve a bonus to their stat'seg (RIS, BH, Mando) and loot component's should actually be in the game. I also thing pre cu items like interwoven schematic's should give a bonus

I'm sorry to say this, but in all seriousness does it really matter if a person volunteers to be a corr? It's not like it's a two-way street of information exchange.
Why not boycott the positions and force SOE to pay a staff member to do it? What's the worst that can happen? We don't get news of a nerf a couple of days early.
This isn't a cheapshot at the acting or past corrs, I know they put a lot of work into it, but what is the bottom line?

It took them a month to fill the WS corr position. Suprised they still keep the corr program around tbh, there's some nasty happenings on the other side that has almost ended it a couple times before, but I have to keep those things to myself.

What if I apply, then just give them the same consideration, they gave us. Vague answers, ill be late with my work, and have it be incomplete and incorrect, ill ignore them and go off and do my own thing. I'll just make crap up and see if anything actually changes, it wont change if i bring up the real issues anyway, so y not fook with them a bit.
"so, whats on the top of the list for the AS community?"
well, it seems the players want to be able to cast protection spells and levitate.
They also do not want the color factory bug repaired, they say one color of armor makes sales easier
They also want more organic named resources in the schematics, that way they get to hunt too
They are also confused with the complexity of post cu crafting and would like all sub components removed, and just one experimentation line with three boxes, so-so, pretty good, and really good. They think it would be best so all people could understand crafting. We could then also market the game to the 3-7yr old demographic.
This is where ill just be vague and ignore problems
"hmmm interesting, what do you feel is the most important of these problems"
What problems
"well not problems, but concerns"
I dont have any concerns
"well the concerns you just raised, which one is the most important?"
important to who?
"well the AS community, of course"
The community?, bah i dont read the forums!
"what do you mean you dont read the forums, do you not want this job"
Your going to pay me?, sweet Im gettin a job with SOE
"we are not offering you a paid posistion, we are curious if you would like to step down from your current posistion"
How can I quit a job I dont have?
"you already have a job as the AS correspondent"
How much does it pay?
"you dont get paid for the posistion"
why would i want a job i dont get paid for and causes frustration?
"you volunteered for this"
Oh, in that case....im working as intended
I then will cast a protection spell over myslef, levitate out of the room in my generic grey armor, which I was psyched to make cause it came out "very good"(i had some poly cake), and fly off to think of new ways to market this game to pre-schoolers and the mentally impaired.

Whats the point of having a correspondent?
Now be realistic, explain to me(us) what the point is.

I suggested this the night they sacked Oaks. It won't work; someone will always sellout for personal benifit.
