First question,

Example - You make 100 of X item and get 1000xp
Now if you made 100 of X item in a factory, do you get 1000xp?

Second question,

Can you only make Syn cloth/Trim/metal fasteners etc in a factory? I tried to mass produce 100 ribbed shirts and it just sent me an e-mail saying it had finished making items and had made (0) items. Now I haven't tried it after the recent patch since im having to keep up with the syn cloth demand atm but I was wondering if anyone knew the answer. Sure would be a savour on the wrists if you can get 3-4 factories pumping out xp instead of the tedious grinding that is tailor now.

Thanks!

First answer

You get full xp from a factory as long as you're within 2k of it.

Second answer

You can make anything in a factory. I've been using my factory to grind out ribbed shirts.

Are you serious?! Hmm, I thought I was within 2k of my factory, but I'll now be sitting next to it 24/7, heh

In beta it was changed so that factories gave 1/10 of the xp of hand crafted items. I wasn't aware of it ever getting changed back to full xp. Has anyone actually sat down and watch their xp go up to verify this?

If this is true then I'm definately going to go scrounge for resources and make a factory. Was probably going to anyway eventually but this will definately put it nearer the top of my to do list.

If doing nothing while running a load of 100 ribbed shirts and coming back to a 14k increase in my xp counts as verification, then I can verify that factories give 100% xp. I really hope this isn't changed because while it is easy xp, it's not very efficient. It takes a factory around 5 hours to produce 100 ribbed shirts. By hand, I could probably do those 100 shirts in 30 minutes.

I made 100 metal fasteners and observed my crafting xp go up in 30 xp chunks...which is correct for metal fasteners.

Where does this 2k radius figure come from, anyhow? Has this ever been confirmed? And what the rationale is for having it in the first place? (Having trouble fathoming it, am I missing some obvious exploit or something here?)

Whatever XP factories give, it's definitely *good* XP. I've been advancing much much faster since I got my factory up and running correctly.

I don't think there is a 2k radius. All I know is I fuel one of my factories then go run missions I still get my full xp.

What are you guys making? Because I definately do NOT get full XP from Reinforced Panels/Synthetic Cloth... Maybe its non-components only?

I sample and craft right along side of my factory. Periodically I get up to run in my house to use the crafting station. As soon as I get my droid I'll be multi tasking like a mad man. Sampling, hand crafting, and getting the xp to my two factories.

I have two right now because those pesky armorsmiths where buying all my panels all the time. I want them for myself. I'm really glad that I have two now for some of the clothes in field wear 4 also. 6 synthetic fiber plans for an infiltrator suit??? OUCH!!!I
