Hi,

Not a wookie nor an AS, but got a mate who's the former, & I'm getting thru rather a lot of ress kits when with him

So, I've seen 70% kinetic Wookie armour mentioned, understand it needs Krayt Scales - what else, & what are the important stats?

Also, to get to 70% kinetic, are any Krayt Scales good ... or are ones good enough to get to 70% rare? What quality of Krayt Scales is needed?

Thanks,

Iam

Iam,

I can get wookie armour to 55% on Infinity (where I believe you play). This is without Krayt parts - just good old fashioned top quality materials..... (and 12 points :smileywink

I have just restocked my vendor in Bestine with some (-1276 -2997) if you are interested.

So in other words, if 55% is the highest on your server you will need +15% kinetic voritor scales or krayt scales. Better yet, ask around which resources are weak in their combine, might be that in some time a better shift of resources allow the smiths to get up to say 60% without enhancers. You may then only need a +10 scale if you are to reach your goal.

Either way, easiest would be to wait a month or so for the two new types of Wookiee armour. Where one of them seems to be the equivalent to ubese while the other is more like padded or composite. (in resists, like the current one is similar to chitin).

Part of the other problem with the current wookiee armor is that it uses wood in the Segments and in the Armor itself... I suspect that wood is a Caped resouce with the Shock Resistance max being 700 as I have never seena wood that had a SR higher than 700.

Thanks folks - & hi Askillian (bow).

Did n't even know there were new wookie armour types on the way, that'll make a lot of somewhat shaggy people very happy I'm sure, if they get Ubese equivalent.

i can get my kashyyykian to hit 52% and a 24-25% base and that is with just 10 points. also is i just me or is this armor slightly on the heavy side when you compare it to stuff like ubese. atleast that is what i compare it to as far as resists go.

No its the equivalant of chitin. It doesn't matter if it is heavy, cause wookies have those extra HAM points.

I am not an Armoursmith but I am a Wookiee who took a great deal of interest in the profession once I heard about the Wookiee armour.

My guess is that people are finding it hard to get the Kinetic special restiance up primarily because some of the named resources required have very poor stats, atleast on our server. Endorian Deciduous Wood and Yavinian Leathery Hide have had very bad spawns, especially for the former.

My set of Wookiee armour is at 60% Kinetic with Krayt scales. I've got a good supply of scales with me and am waiting (and waiting and waiting...) for a good spawn of the named resources so that I can approach my Armoursmith again to make me another set

Are you sure about that? I'll have to look that up. I've not heard weaonsmiths b*tching about this particular thing when talking about gated resources. They use high sr wood in several items, specifically corellian deciduous in one. Wood is the only item used in low level staves....

Farly sure about this... 600 to 700 is actully an OK SR When your talking about things like Heavy Axes, and Wooden Staffs or in Weapon stocks, witch people only use to level on for a short time, and then they switch to the metal weapons shortly after they are done with the first box. But as Armorsmiths we have to worry about SR more offten than the weaponsmiths.

I did a search through SWGCrafts database just for Eclipse alone to see what kinds of wood are on Eclipse at this moment and whats been around in the last few shifts. I highlighted the highest SR wood on all of Eclipse at this time! If you look though these numbers OQ looks like it can get up to 1000 mark. but Looking at the way its done if SR is LOW, OQ is higher than the SR and Vice Versa....

Yes I know SWGCraft can be wrong some times, but its been farly consistant senseI had to starttracking diffrent types of wood for the wookiee armor.... Note these only go back a fewweeks at most...

If someone can show me a wood with in the past few months that has had a SR Higher than 700 thatwould be great... Because this woulddisprovemy theroy andprove to me that Eclipse has just been suffering from a very poor round of resouces for a while! Please make sure its a resouce that is tracked if yourgoing to disprove this theroy so we can actully verify the information.

Tesnoba Yavinian Deciduous Wood Valcyn/Yavin 4 - 664 672 439 SR - 905 26 905 -182d Y

Will those work? I honestly thought that wood SR was capped as well. And these resources are also verified/
