Thread: Armor Attachments
Last I heard, they are for use during armour construction, but don't currently work.
Post in the Armoursmith forum.
He may be asking about the attachments that are like weapon powerups and not segments like creatures have as loot sometimes.
My understanding is that attachments (eg. Increase Droid Experimentation by 1) are broken at the moment. Try dragging one over an armor segment. You will see that a hand exists as if you could drop it there, but it won't attach.
Let me add to this question. I have one Armor Attachment (and also one of its predecessor, the Skill Enhancing Attachment). They look like armor segments. I thought maybe they might go into the Armor Segment, but that does not happen, nor is there a place for them in any other Armorcrafter Schematic I have (and I am a Master).
Does anyone know how to use them. Or were they slated for some sort of Armor Socket that was never implemented ?
Thanks
Balagor
It seems that thevarious goodies to "upgrade" armor as well as socketed armor have simply NEVER been implemented in the game. There's a category on the bazaar for armor upgrades, but no one can make 'em. Tailors can make socketed clothing, but armorsmiths (as far as I have EVER heard of) cannot even hope to make socketed armor. Let alone whatever it is that is supposed to go into the sockets on the various packs (presumably skill enhancement tapes rather than the plates for armor sockets).
It'd be really, really nice to be able to make socketed armor. I have a stash of perhaps 8 or so +2 and +3 plates greedily awaiting a carbineer who's willing to pay for the bonuses that they provide to be integrated into his shiny new body armor. Of course, every monkey in the zoo it seems wants composite or nothing at all. It's frustrating to be an armorsmith, it really really is.
