the crafters on Sunrunner are generally good mannered.
well ive had ppl snap up my stuff and slice it for 2x resale.guess that might have been a smuggler thing /shrug
but it would sure suck if ppl took advantage of noobs by reselling this stuff to them. Maybe ill just make it and offer in crates to guilds looking for something to equip new guild members.
Im going to make 30 of each and offer them as cheap as possible. These will generally be worthless to established double mastery combat types, but to noobs grinding I hope they will prove invaluable.
I anticipate that grinders will eventually pick up novice commando/BH/SL so they can use the assault armors, does anybody have a suggestion as to pricing noob armor after CU? I hesitate to offer below 100k as I risk resellers then. :/

offer the sets for a lower price. The properties of the armours are not what the top level players buy, your target group are low level grinders with a very limited budget. Resellers should not be a big issue with that, i assume. -
offer the parts seperately, too. Damage distribution is very uneven, so you better allow the people to replace single parts... especially as it's grind armour, so people don't want to build a stockpile of left and right biceps armours, because those seem to last forever while leggings need replacement every few days... (Give your armours unique color schemes, that way people who bought the first set will prefer to buy from you again... allows them to keep a good looking outfit, if they replace single parts from other sources, they'll end up in some ragtag outfit, most people dislike that...)
my bulk grind battle armor is 5919 across the board and my bulk grind recon armor is 5000/7000/6000

and 5000 protection for 100k? lol, 5k protection is the upper limit on standard recon and assault. Medium advanced stuff. I sell advanced battle bracers for 100k each lol.
I come to the conclusion, that either priced are generally very high on your server, or your customers haven't noticed the "vendor search" functionality yet. My current armour (all chitin) i bought for 15k a piece, resulting in a total of 95k on the essential parts. Exact values of protection differ a tiny bit on the different parts, but generally the kinetic resistance is around 6000... would it have been battle, it would be 5000 all around, right?
I admit that i had to travel a bit to get that armour, i admit that there are also armoursmiths selling for much more, but the vendor search is so comfortable, i don't see a reason not to use it...
So i still say, in my eyes your armours are not suitable for grinding, an armour made of second rate ressources with low condition and low protection which you'll simply throw away as soon as you qualify for something better definitely is not worth the money you'd ask for.

First off, 6000 kinetic is pretty low for advanced armor. All my unlayered caps at 7000 and I can hit 8100 with kinetic layers /shrug.
Actually I mainly cater to those with more money than time. Im in the biggest mall on naritus and between the other vendors an I you can generally find what you need in there. Sure, If somebody wants to vendor search for 2 hours to find a suit of armor for under 200k they can, chances are it will be missmatched, and good luck finding replacement pieces without another extensive vendor search. /shrug
I disagree with youre last comment. Grind armor should NOT be high quality. Its going to get trashed, so it should be made with that in mind. It may not be worth my time to make if the price goes too low (at least for public sales) I have encouraged some of the new respec-smiths on my server to make it so they can build customer bases from the (anticipated) noobs, but as another poster above mentioned, most just want to break into the million credit faction armor market. Guess Ill just crush them in turn. ![]()

Have a look at the resources you're using here, ~2080 units all up of junk, maybe 1-3 cpu resources for a single suit.
@3cpu its cost you 6240 credits to make a full suit of noob armour with 15k of life to it. At 100k you're valueing junk resources at 48cpu
Perhaps just a tad high imo.

You're talking about basic cores here...they use so little resources.

Hmm good point. I hadnt figured the resource cost yet. Maybe Ill do 7 piece suits (no gloves/boots) for 40k or something.... dropping below 20cpu would suck. Alot of the stuff going into these will be metals I paid 3-5cpu for 3-4 months ago (2-3rd best colat/kirium on server etc) I just bought a ton of medium poly (~700 oq/sr) for 1cpu though... hehe.

Id really like to see noob smiths make stuff like this instead of putting out bastardized suits of advanced that people pay outrageous amounts for due to ignorance.
I am selling full suits of 5000+ battle armor, built to order, for 150k., which still seems to be less than most on myu server. I am not making any armor with standard cores. It only takes a single master to negate the hinderance.... even guys only half way to their first master still seem to want the advanced armor. I think they are willing to temporarilly live with the hinderance, in exchange for the higher protection and not having to buy a new suit of ormor at the end of the week when they are done grinding... and really, under the new system, that is all it takes to master any combat profession.
