Hey guys and girls.
I have a little question.
There's a +8 armor exp tape on the trade forums that I'm interested in buying.
HOWEVER it has a -9 blocking mod on it as well.
Will the armorsmith exp mod stick?
Thanks,
Lillith

That's a tough one. I think the -9 blocking would actually be the one to stick.

Normaly, the rule is the higher mod will stick, and ties will go with the first one listed.
However, this is a hard call. will the blocking take because 9 > 8, or the armor exp because +8 > -9 ?
I'd try the trick with the second tape... get another blocking tape with a higher value, use that first, and hope for the +armor exp to come out.
This is a hard one to say for sure what will happen tho.

Yes, I realize everyhing you say is true, for the most part it is common knowledge... its the negative skill mod I'm curious about, does anyone have a 2 skill mod tape withone beingnegative that they have put into clothing? If so what was the outcome on the clothing?

The negative mods never stick, the armor exp will stick. I had a tape with a negative something and a +3 pistol speed and the pistol speed stuck. I have even tried a negative by it self and it does not use a socket the tape just poofs.

Same experience here. -7 something and +10 pistol accuracy. Got the pistol accuracy.
I say go for it.

Yea, but in your case the +10 is higher than the -7, Im looking for a case where the absolute value of the negative mod is greater than the absolute value of the positive mod. In your case the +10 would have stuck as it was the greatest value even if the "something" had been a postive value.

Good point. Dunno. I'd still say go for it. I tried to get a +6 to work under a different circumstance. It didn't, and I ended up with a pair of 5 million credit pants with +11 to general ranged aiming. It was still worth the shot - I don't regret trying.
