Goodbye to all my friends and allies and enemies, may we meet on greener pastures somewhere else where the players dont get F'd over for spending the last 2 years of their lives playing a worthless POS of a game!

Seeing as how they have alot of lines of code to go through and find the break or corruption, I'm not supprised it has taken this long. most players seem to think fixing this game is so easy, if it was the you wouldn't need a collage degree to do the job. we're not talking a car you can hook you to a machine and run some diags on, we're talking linse of code you have to sort through to find what is missing. Imagine getting 2 copies of war and peace, but one is missing a few words, don't know were those words are that are missing or how many are missing. Now you might get an idea of what it's like to do 1 section of code.

They found a problem and though it was it, it did fix the enhancer issue, but it did not fix the color issue like they hoped it would. Now they have to find the other missing parts.

Considering how long it has been broken it is simply put, a suprise it has not been fixed.

Comparing it to 2 copies of "War and Peace" even simplifies it.This is what they do for a living, and know where to look. It's more of a priority issue. Do they even care?

This is such an inane comment.. "Do they even care?" I work in the IT industry, and I hear this stupid question all the time... yes it's stupid, why? Cause if they didn't care they wouldn't do it, players give the dev's no grief, they could post a publish where they fixed every bug, trippled the size of every planet, added new quests and abilities to every class, and gave out a free month of service toeveryone who has ever played this game, and people would still fuss at them for something.

Yes it's their job to fix the code, but just beaucse it's their job dosne't mean they know all million or so lines of code memorized. Let's not forget the original code writers may not be the same people working on it now. Even a literary specalist who has read "War and Peace" a hundred times will still take awhile to find.

As I sit hear typing this I'm resolving a guys wireless networking problems, I've been doing this for over a year and a half now, I'm a senoir tech, one of the best in my department. Most of the time I resolve peoples issues in under 10 mins (half what the company expects us to do it in). Yet every once in awhile I come across a really hard issue that takes me an hours and half or even more. Fact is computers and thesoftware they run are vastly complex. The issues I deal with are vastly more simple in comparison to what this game requires.

Do I enjoy the bugs? No I have to redo a quest tonight becuase NPC's that I needed to kill spawned inside an object, immensly fustrating. I'm an armorsmith, one of the largest on my server, so I know how the bugs suck. My fiance' is a tailor I know how she feels. But I can appreciate the task that dev's have ahead of them and appreciate what they do. When you understand the nature of the beast, you understand what it's capable of.

Ok. Because of the color bug I stopped making armor for a while because my last run I ended up with 30 suits of mismatched armor and I was pretty pissed. So this weekend I see a patch note saying they fixed it. Great I think. Time to get crafting again.

So I do a run of 30 suits of Ubese an WHAM. Now I have a total of 60suits of mismatch Ubese. FOR GOD SAKES PLEASE PUT YOUR BROKE A$S CODE ON TEST CENTER BEFORE YOU PUSH THIS $HITLIVE.

I'm sitting here trying to find some sort of reproducible pattern on my AS toon. If you guys can give me anything that might be able to consistently reproduce this, I'd appreciate it. One of the things I'm looking at is comparing the colors, what I chose on the palette, and what it ended up as and it's placement relative to the color I chose on the palette.

Like I said, if anyone else wants to help continue along that line, please tell me if you see any patterns.

Ubese Jackets for sure. I've only done two runs of these but I don't think I need more than 60 default color Ubese Jackets so I'm not going to craft any more. It has also happend on Ubese Boots each time too. If TC Bloodfin was still up I'd test but I'm not going to was any more live resources than I already have on testing something that should be tested on TC before the 'fix' went live (and it's still broken).

Cali I'm not sure there is a pattern. I made a run of padded armor, each piece was the same 2 colors (red pads, grey backing). Some armor came out default blue, other came out random pastel colors, some crates even produced multiple colors (ie. 1 crate of 25 produced 4 different color combinations) all pulled out at the same time.

As for the armor colors being messed up, people will still buy. I've seen people wearing the armor I've made (can't mistake those colors) and I appoligized for the mismatch, most grinders don't care, they just want protection.

As I'm sure no one wants to throw away a ton of resources on trying to find a pattern, hopefully someone from the next galaxy selected for test center will be able to do something. (I would have done it when Bloodfin was up, but I didn't have any capital then :smileysad

I'm just using garbage looted cores and such to test. Got plenty of stacks laying around.

these are the ones i have so far, not made any other crates.

hope this helps a little.

And yes i do understand there is a lot of code involved in making a game, BUT they have had this problem since publish 18, and it isa Major one for AS, we dont want to spend all our time sitting pressing buttons to craft, we need to play a little as well (got to be fun for us as well as the people who use our armour).

and in a joke whats a Collage degree (painting piccys) College should be. (and thats having a little fun)
