Thread: Lack of Dant Wooly Hide?

None of the grind groups go for huurtons and thunes that drop wooly because those mobs tend to group agro. Most grind groups focus on bols as they don't group agro. Poor bols
Another thing you can do is go to the Ranger boards and read some forums and lookf for bloodfin rangers, then contact them in game. Don't ask on the forums because you'll get the "this is not a trade forum" response. There is a Ranger for hire thread too, but it is getting redone because it's a little out of date, but it still may be useful.
Or in-game do a search (in the character tab.. Ctrl+p i think)and filter it to the Ranger tag.

QI am having a similar issue right now with getting naboo bristely. I can never find a large enough lot to do a decent run on cores. Last time I posted on trade forum and paid 13cpu and got about 5,000 on my vendor.
This time I offered slightly less and haven't seen one hide show up so I am thinking I need to bump the offer.
What do most of you pay for hides? for really good dant wooly I have paid 30cpu but I thought the quality warranted it, are we stuck with higher end prices on the specific hides like naboo bristley just because its not as common for people to hunt on naboo?
i pay a flat fee of 20 cpu for anything i need. If i need crap hides for my tailor freind or camps we just go hunt for an hour or 2.. If i was to just buy any crap junk hides or bone i would probly pay 5cpu. find a good ranger or a couple and you should beable to get 500-1 mill of anything you need.. And DONT use a resource kit on hides for runs.. if you are going to use um just use um on health armor. you would have to spend about 6 mill for do a run and is totally worthless. If the stuff is not there use what you can. the difference in hide qaultiy is not that much and you can increase your seg qauilty much easier soo your final core reasources dont mater as much. using hides in the 800's i can still cap armor with good segs. If im using uber stuff in segs hitting near 980 you can even go as low as 700's on some stuff.

Cool, thanks for the information. I am still pretty new to AS and dont have the resource to hit 980 in the segments yet. Best I have done is 910 in the segments. Last batch was 890 I think.
I am still having to buy all of my resources off the bazaar (through vendor search) dont have any great contacts in place yet because my cash flow isnt as established.

Nabooian bristley is hard to come by because the animals it comes from are such low level and boring. Most hunters don't want to go hunt Plains Tusk Cats and the like when they are below lvl30. What you need to do is find people willing to hunt it for you specially. It is actually easier to get it than most other hides. Simply tell them to go to the Narglatch caves and start killing them. I do this alone quite often and can gather plenty in just an hour or two.
