Certified to use it: Carbineer, Creature Handler, Combat Medic, Fencer, Doctor, Swordsman, Pikeman, Ranger

AssaultArmor
Chitin, Composite, Kashyyykian Hunting, Ithorian Sentinel, Mandalorian (Quest), Rebel Assault (Factional), Shock Trooper (Factional)

Certified to use it: Bounty Hunter, Commando, Squad leader

Keep in mind, all this is subject to change. Also, if your profession is NOT listed here (most notably Teras kasi), then you are NOT currently certified for armor. In the case of Teras Kasi, word is they will be getting something like Jedi Robes in the CURB, hence their lack of certification.

What about crafters? I'ts bad enough getting killed doing factory runs while wearing 90% comp. And what about the DWB? How will MA's and MDE's g down to craft with no armor?

I'm curious about what is going to happen to the new people starting. By this list, it looks like you'renovice Marksman or novice Brawler is going to be stuck.I think that we will see an influx of population after EP3 is released (and creates a Star Wars fervor) and with reports of Chupas hitting for like 300 points of damage plus buffs being scaled back, I forsee a lot of newbie corpses on the outskirts of the cities.

Ya, there's a problem with this list, only elite professions get to wear armor. You can't wear anything while you grind your way up.

Another thing I wanted to comment on: They really stuck us on the comp resources. It's what most of us stockpiled and now they only give us 3 professions that can even wear it. The whole thing is leaving me feeling screwed.....

Well I stopped wearing armor a long time ago for survay work. I have no combat skills so i just wear junk clothing and try to run away if attacked. If i need help I get a freidn to kill what is bothering me.

No armor for n00b professions, entertainers, or crafters.

What I did find interesting is that doc and bio engineer got armor.

Right now on the TC, the whole consider system is out of whack, so its hard to say how a clothed, unbuffed person will make a harvestor run, but overall, I like it.

Believe me, I understand the inconvenience - I wear RIS as a rifleman now, and if I want to continue wearing it, I must change professions. But you know what? I will. I think the list makes sense, and for the same reason people are complaining about the list (particularly the comp complaints) is the same reason I like it - too many AS's are additcted to making comp like a drug addict is addicted to coke. They are denying you the coke, so you are having withdrawl fits, but you will be healthier in the long run.

That is how I view the people who have and will be complaining about comp armor.

just curios, but one of my toons is a rifle/cm. with rifle i get recon armor, with cm, i get battle armor. so what if i use battle armor with my rifle? will i suffer penalties still or not?

can sombody tell what skill at wich BH get certed for comp? if its novice i might be able to use it.. if not.. looks like i'll be a recon pistoleer who uses special attack: "/shoot up into the air1" as "crowd control"

People are freaking out way too early. Don't forget most people have dual profession so you are not stuck with one armor. For example, CM/Riffleman can wear battle/reconn armor. Pistoleer/BH can wear reconn/assault armor. So, we should wait a little long before passing judgement.
