If you consider it to much work (and the pain of being dead/incapped alot) you should respec, I myself did respec so now I hunt Jedi instead, making their lives miserable.

I am in the same boat and also was discouraged about the resources. Although being a smith is not my main line of work (DE is) I have decided to stick with it for the long run. I'm going to take a break from crafting any 'serious' armor and just mess around with what resources I have and re-learn the trade once again as time dictates (and precious little time do I have lol). Most of what I make I'll give away to guildies or sell for cost of materials.

In the meantime I keep watch on what is spawning and will jump on the right resources when they come as sooner or later they must.

In regards to the CU making armor is a lot different than before, but I am grudgingly starting to admit the process seems more logical to me, allthough there is vast room for improvement as so many good posts on this forum have pointed out.

That's just my two credits....good luck to you in whatever path you follow.

Right now, I'm really frustrated with the huge new resource list I have to assemble, the factory times, the inability to defend myself any more thanks to the skill point heist on combat professions, and the fact I don't have many hours a day to devote to gathering all the resources and such.

I've been an armorsmith for over a year now and made a fortune of around 15 million credits. I'm seriously considering now quitting armorsmith, and respeccing to a pure combat character.

I'm just looking for some light at the end of the tunnel from anyone.Does anyone have any good things to say?

(I'll skip the rant about the current crafting system and such for lengths sake. )

Make yourself some reasonable armor and then dump AS, the devs have made it clear that combat is now the focus of the game and not crafting. I have a combat alt I used to supply my AS with hide/bone, and I'll be keeping that acct for another month, but this one is gone.

I know the feeling the frustrations of the game; talking to other armorsmith in game about making faction armor and making marauder recon armor. I cant even make any new armors in game let a lone go and do missions on the wookie planet. And yes I have the expansion, Ive been trying for over a week to get my bug issues resolved but no one is willing to help me out!

Im at a point in just saying screw it and leaving game for good!

I would though before I make my final decission about leaving the game for good, can anyone answer how and where one learns the faction armor just incase its a quest?? And one more quick question, anyone else make the Marauder RECON armor?????

Thanks,

Faction armor schematics can be purchased from any faction recruiter, for a whole load of faction. I have not tried to make the marauder armor, but it is there in the datapad.

Schematics arepurchased for quite a bit of faction (to a crafter), which means you gotta beg someone combat oriented to buy the schematics for you.

That's not true. You might have to get a smuggler to sell you the faction, but a combat character can't buy the schematics for you as they are only offered to declared master armorsmiths and are untradable.

Are you sure they are untradeable?

Darn it...had a deal in place for my main (a smuggler) to buy the fp and delegate it to my alt (MAS) to purchase then xfer it to anther MAS (mon clamarian) in return for a hefty price.
