Ok guys, i know im beating a dead horse. With that said, i have yet to get a jedi mission where the jedi didn't use the current exploit to fool the droids into saying "your target is not online" When will this be fixed?? Hey wookiees have armor now, and thats great, but why not throw some fixes our way? Are we really hated that much, or do the devs just dont care? Everytime we post on a subject on these forums, we hardly ever get a straight answer. In no way, shape, or form am i trying to place blame on Tanks, because i know he bust his ass for us, but if we could just get a general idea, that would make me feel a ton better

Ok, lets say I'm going out to hunt some creatures. I can assume they will mostly do kinetic damage to me so I want protection from Kinetic but I'm also worried about encumberence. I have a choice of regular clothingor armor that has minimal kinetic effectivness. Which would be a better choice ....

A. Neither the clothing or the armor protects from kinetic energy well but the clothing doesn't give a HAM penalty so I should wear regular clothing.

- or -

B. Even if the armor is not particularly effective vs kinetic it's still better then nothing because with the armor I will have an AR1 rather then the AR0 of the clothes which allows opponents extra damage against me. Therefore even with the HAM penalty the armor is better.

If you fight unbuffed and use special moves a lot, go with clothes. If you don't use the special moves all the time or fight buffed, go with the armor, the AR1 rating gives 25% kinetic before the resists come to play.

If you just fight critters, get some ubese. It can have high kinetic resists and dosen't have nearly as much HAM as comp. Also its cheaper than comp.

grab some mabari.. it's lightweight and provides the AR1 bonus of I believe 50%+ half of the kinetic resist vs most normal critters (so 20% kinetic provides 50+(20/2)=60% protection vs critters.)

You can make 23% resist on mabari without enhancers if you use some decent resources. Best market for it would be somewhere near Mos Eisley in tatooine, put the armor on the bazaar it'll sell faster.

/agree
I have been using the same set of Ubese for months. I generally go buffed, but the set I use *can* be worn unbuffed, if necessary. For PvE normally (I wear comp in places like the DWB, etc, it's all I use.

I am MLS, pearls are :

120, 117, 115, 117 Damage andusing Sunrider's Crystal.

Did a test:

DPS is everything in the game!!!!!

Saber 1: 615-705 Damage DPS of 588.9 - Damage done to a lvl 77 Mob 467 regular hit 818 improved head hit (both with armor break done first)

Saber 2: 595-685 Damage DPS of 597.9 - Damage per hit 494 per regular saber hit 848 per improved head hit (both used armor break first)

***NOTE*** This is damage per hit, not more hits per xxx number or seconds

  • Improved armor break is still switched with regular armor break, at 0/2/0/0 armorbreak was "breaking" armor more

  • Sabers do stink right now, even mine. When I stand in a group of 5 people doing Kash missions, Rifles, then BH, then Swordsmen then Jedi is the damage hierarchy. I can't really understand it.

  • When did Jedi become the Weakest elite profession in the game? And if we are talking about the 1.5:1 ratio shouldn't I am a MLS be doing like 2K of damage minimum since rifles are doing about 1200-1500 or more?

  • And if JEDI is "just another combat profession" why can't I slice my saber like everyone else can slice their weapons?

  • And if sabers are "just like everyone elses weapons now" , why is my base damage so low? shouldn't my saber be 450-900 damage range BEFORE pearls are added, and as they are the damage goes up from there?

  • With 10 points of jedi saber experimentation, why can't I make a saber as good as a 10 point WS can make a powerhammer or rifle? Add to it 4 perfet pearls and we have something.

What is your accuracy? That plays a big part in the game now. Defense - Accuracy = gimpiness

Ever wonder why when you turn on aura, BH's seem like flies to you? It's the same for them. Your defense (around 250) + aura (+500) = your defense of 750 - their accuracy 200 = 550 gimp factor on them.
