Thread: Solution For Getting Vendor Nerf Dropped
Message Edited by Tuanga on 08-08-2004 10:50 PM
This is not another thread telling all the whiners to grow up. This is a serious thread where all crafters should unite and cancel their accounts to this game. It might make the people over at SOE sit up and take notice. If they all of a sudden see 50% of their customer base cancel their accounts, someone is going to want to know why the hell that happened.
I'm tired of getting these dumbass ideas thrown to us to see our reactions. We can always start up our account again when these changes get dropped. But it's time to hit them where it hurts. The bottom line.

remember the crafting changes that lasted 1 day after the outcry? Is there an outcry now?
I think those vendor limits will be adjusted. Why cancel for a change that may not even be implemented. I am betting that they listen to us, and adjust those numbers, and it won't be so bad. If all the AS do leave, then good, more business for those of us that are still having fun.

People are pissed for two reasons. The first is the craptacular nerf itself, just the stupidity of it. The second is more fundamental. Its basicly confirmed a lot of peoples suspecions that the DEVs put next to no though into what their changes will do.Message Edited by owako on 08-08-2004 10:48 AM
Oh, I forgot, everyone is happy with the game and forum posters are a tiny minority that they don't care about.

You people are stupid. This is not OUR game. This game is property of one Sony Online Entertainment (SOE). They can do whatever they want to it and we can do nothing but just deal with it. So what if 50% of SWG players quit? what will anyone care? This game is not SOE's only source of income.
You all sound like a bunch of 7-year-old girls... "You're not playing the way that I want to, so I'm quitting... and I'm not your friend anymore". GET OVER IT! If you don't want to play then don't, but leave the forums too. No one wants to hear complaining! (Irony... what am I doing?) You know, if things had been like this from day 1 no one would have said a word in opposition. Don't believe me? Where's the uproar about the ridiculous 20-item limit on the bazaar?

Ya know, some people never change...
Ya know something, I've now seen 2 of these lame posts of yours. Yes it is SOE's game but guess what ... I'M ALSO A BLOODY PAYING CUSTOMER AND HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO VOICE MY ISSUES IF THEY ARE MAKING A CHANGE THAT EFFECTS MY ENJOYMENT OF IT! Would you remain quiet if you purchased tickets to see a movie and then once you sit down, they decide to change the movie? It's their theatre, it's a private property, they can view whatever movie they want.,
I can't control what they do. But I can control where my money goes. And your statement about 'other sources of income that SOE has' and 'they don't care if 50% quit' is more of a childish and moronic statement that the ones you've been deriding.
Why don't you get off your high horse and be part of the solution instead of part of the problem. There is a difference between whining/complaining and expressing grievances. The protest of the change is expressinga grievance. You, are whining.
IMO

This is not only a bad comparrison, it's also illegal. When I buy a ticket to see movie X I have a legal contract to see movie X. If I get in the theater and they show movie Z then I am legally entitled to get my money back. To even try to compare this situation to what is happening in SWG is to say that you are mad because you are a paying customer for SWG but instead you are being given Everquest. If that were the case then you would have every right to be upset and want what you are paying for.
To even be able to use this illistration to compare a movie to SWG you would have to say that you bought tickets for a movie and durring production of the movie the director decided to change a part of it. There's nothing that says that you have to like the change, but you have no control over it occuring. It's not your movie. You paid to watch the movie. N one said you had to like it, or that you had to pay to see it again.
I can't control what they do.But I can control where my money goes.
Very True

Let me see... I have a list of the games that SOE produces at thetop of these message boards... I count 10 other games up there, one of them supposedly to be the biggest MMORPG ever when it is released to the public. It seems to me from that alone that SOE has PLENTY of other income.
Why don't you get off your high horse and be part of the solution instead of part of the problem.
Explain to me what this problem is.
There is a difference between whining/complaining and expressing grievances. The protest of the change is expressinga grievance. You, are whining.
Ellaborate on this, if you will. I honestly don't see much of a difference.
