Well, I hope its incredibly rare, because the Mandolorians were mercaneries that were all but exterminated from the galaxy, save Jango/cloned Boba. From what I'm hearing on this chat, I don't like it, dual pistols for pistoleer without even fixing our specials yet?!

Bah, I say let everyone have a chance at mandilorian armor.

My suggestion is make it as rare and hard to make as RIS. Then when mandilorian comes out just lower the difficulty on making RIS. Why you might ask? Because I have never... EVER seen a player running around in RIS. If they would just make Mandilorian as hard to make as RIS there wouldn't be a problem with everyone having a set.

Also some new armor that isn't Mandilorian would be nice. Im sick of seeing everyone in the game running around with full Composite. Adding Mandilorian armor wont help, because it will just be as rare as RIS.

Unless they make Mandilorian armor a loot drop for Bounty Hunters only... that could work.

well once they said 3 sets per server with an immensly difficult quest. I guess that will be it. if it would be craftable eveyone would soon have a RARE suit of armor. (unless you get a limited use schem which cannot be facturymade, still a loot/quest armor then but it will still require an AS to make)

Someone explain to me why player-worn Mandalorian armor is some kind of sacred cow to most of the SWG community. We've got tons of Jedi in a time where Jedi were essentially non-existant, NPC's based off of the IG series assassin droids just hanging out shooting the breeze with their buds in the cantinas and starports, bounty hunter trainers just lounging around in this stuff, and I've even come across NPC "bounty hunters" during missions wearing full suits of this stuff (minus the helm). Hell, Pex logs in with a set of the stuff every once in a while.

Why are we willing to accept the Jedi hordes and the myriad of continuity breaks with NPC bounty hunters, yet if more than a tiny group of extremely hardcore players wants to get their hands on some Mandalorian the community is up in arms.

My only guess is that the super-hardcore powergamers need/want something to show their status. Look at RIS and the Nightsister bicep - no one actually wants to go into combat with them, they just want to sit around the Theed starport and have everyone gawk at their "phat lewtz".

We ran into the same problemwith the other MMOG I was activein, Motor City Online (stop laughing). The devs put tons of semi-rare parts and car skins in the game, but instead of racing them and addingvariety to the game, people just sat around in the chat rooms with them hoping someone would click on their profile to see their "rare" ride. Considering there was no decay on the cars, most of the PvP types in the game (beleive it or not most people in a racing MMOG are afraid to race against each other for fearof losing face) thought it was pretty stupid to let items like these rot away so that some hardcore powergamercould use them as a status symbol.

I say put Mandalorian in the game without making it the single most rare item around. There are plenty of ways to keep it from becoming the next composite - something like making it so that you can only get one set and the wearer gets a TEF to all BH's (since they all want a set of their own) to keep people from AFK sitting their Mandalorian equipped toon in a starport to showcase their uberness.

Give us:

1: Working PSG's. WIthout stat shifts, and without needing to equip-unequip all the time.

2:Fix the ARMOR HOLE, it is still there.

3: To a lesser extent, working Tantel and RIS that covers stun.

4. A crafters apron that every other DAMN profession got.

5. A full set of ADVANCED tantel, not this 3 pieces crap. (how hard would it be....some leggings, gloves and arm sheaths(biceps and bracer combined)

6. A rebalance of the armor making Padded and Tantel have a use in this game.

Then worry about this uber-rare, 3 suits per server, loot only crap. If it is loot only, it doesn't really concern us anyway does it?

I am not gonna be happy at all until at least 1,2, and 4 are in this game, there is no excuse for those things.
