There was a 3 day period back in september or so when the bonuses transferred. I think the enhanced cloths/panels load in now, but the final piece pops out without the BE enhancments.
The armor you will want to focus on for fashion purposes is probably padded, as it sports the full palette range and fits more like clothing than bulky armor. Mabari can be popular as well for similar reasons. In addition, you will find the AS "accessory" items (mabari and padded belts, ubese bandolier, and ubese shirt) will be very popular. I always keep these items stocked on my vendor. For whatever reason, the art team that did armor made their belts fit properly unlike the art team that had a hula hoop infatuation while doing the belts for tailoring. Padded, mabari, and BH (loot only) armor belts all fit naturally unlike the tailor belts.
I am a master tailor as well, and I operate a men's formalwear vendor out of my armor shop. My tuxedo packages are very popular and include a mabari belt as a cumberbun
The best way to get your XP in AS is to do factory runs of mabari segemnts and to craft mabari chests.
One issue you may have is that I think you also need the experimentation line (and even master) for the full palette in armrosmith. The color choices with only personal armor are a bit slim. Perhaps you will get all of the colors since you are a master tailor already, but I think thishas beenchanged.
Regardless, I think it is a great idea - good luck

its armor so it would be under "armor customation" since its armor, not clothing. so master tailors can do squat with it besides some of the components

I was just searching the web to see what materials I needed to have on hand to start this project...here's where I got that impression from: Clicky
I guess it could be outdated.

I have plenty of free sp to pick up all I need in ASonce I drop the combat on this character...I'm just sick of not being able to complete my looks on my own.

That is a big negative on BE mods in padded. I tried with enhanced synth, enhanced panel, and wth both. No mods stuck on the item and I did not gain mods in my skill window when I wore any of the boots. Your link must be from the fluke days when BE bonuses transferred to armor. I have a few pieces that I display in my shop from then, but it no longer works.

Thanks for the research! It wasn't a big deal to me, I was just suprised to find that on the site.I also never considered that I have to master AS for all the colors...yuck, I hate grinding. Thanks for all the advice everyone! It might take a bit for me to master since I've been done with the grinding thing for so long that it's hard to get back into. Once I get the business off the ground I'll come here with a full report.

if you are thinking about master armorsmith. you will have to make composite and ubese also. armorsmith is the #2 money maker in the game without doing missions (1st is doctor). anyway its one of the hardest professions to master and it defenetly takes the hardest to get resources. if you do get it, dont JUST make fashion armor, its a total waste of time and credits/resources. its a good idea but not worth the time. if you want to, then just make good freinds with a master armorsmith show them the color you want on a peice of clothing. you will make some good cash still. do what you want. but it takes about 50x the resources to master tailor then to get master armorsmith. go to the armorsmith forums and reasearch it.

I would buy padded for fashion in a heartbeat. I love how it looks. Too bad your on Sunrunner though

After having customer after customer come in my shop and comment on the lack of AS's that make armor for fashion purposes, I decided I'm going toget my tailor the personal armor line of AS. I had planned to wait until I unlock another character to take over my scouting, but since that's at least a good 4 months away, I figured I might as well take advantage of all my main character'sgrinding and have her pick it up.
I was just wondering if anyone else does this, and if there were any suggestions onwhat I should be stocking? It looks like enhanced cloths can go into padded...anyideas if there would be a market for enhanced fashion padded armor?

I supply the resourses and components and I buy schematics for Ubese shirts, mabari belts and armorweave legs.. These are really the only fashion armor pieces I stock in my tailor shop because padded takes soo many rre resourses..But if I could get ahold of enough resourses to buy schematics for padded armor I sure would. I dont think training personal armor would help me much unless i only wanted to stock a limited color pallet but everyone wants the red and green and sapphires.. but i guess it would be good for black/white items

Can someone confirm/deny this, officially? I've been under the impression that ALL BE-Enhanced Cloth, when placed into Armor, loses its bonuses.

I did not think this was possible - if it were I think everyone would wear padded. I'll look into it.
