I also never considered that I have to master AS for all the colors...yuck, I hate grinding.
yeah - the best colours are at MAster AS - I made a great Padded Suit. Bright Orange and Black .... It looks great
(apart from the helmet which looks a bit sad)
I'm making my brother a set of bright blue and black padded with a tantel helm in the same colour - that should look pretty good too

if you are thinking about master armorsmith. you will have to make composite and ubese also. armorsmith is the #2 money maker in the game without doing missions (1st is doctor). anyway its one of the hardest professions to master and it defenetly takes the hardest to get resources. if you do get it, dont JUST make fashion armor, its a total waste of time and credits/resources. its a good idea but not worth the time. if you want to, then just make good freinds with a master armorsmith show them the color you want on a peice of clothing. you will make some good cash still. do what you want. but it takes about 50x the resources to master tailor then to get master armorsmith. go to the armorsmith forums and reasearch it.
Well making composite doesn't really appeal to me. I have friends that are master AS'sthat are always willing to setmy main character up with uber armor, and I'm not going to bug them constantly to make me schems of full color runs. If I was in it for the money I wouldn't be a tailor, although I think I do pretty well for a tailor. I think I could even make more if I stocked padded and other armor piecesas a clothing option. I mademy alt atailor soley to satisfy my main's clothing obsession, and it turned out that I really enjoyed it. Ihave become obessed with having the best tailor shop on Sunrunner.
It wouldn't cost me much to master AS, I always stockpile crap resources and mine them all myself. I've reasearched AS, as I've been playing this game for more than a year. I actually started my main out as a WS, so I understand the grind. I understand the work that goes into masteringmost professions for that matter (forum addict here), have mastered quite a few myself in the past year, and the ones I've chosen have always been based on fun and not profits. You want a hardprofession to master...try BH before they lowered shuttle times and fixed most of the bugs!

its armor so it would be under "armor customation" since its armor, not clothing. so master tailors can do squat with it besides some of the components
You obviously did not pay ANY attention to what she said.

Would you indulge to what your 'Tuxedo package' consist of?
Ok, here is the run down of my Tux package:
Cold weather Jacket
Suit Shirt
Comfortable Slacks
Dress Shoes
Leather Gloves (or Leather Work Gloves - forget which)
Mabari Armorweave Belt (cumberbun
)
My classic blacks sell very well and I am working on a run of "Wedding Singer Powder Blue" for my next release as a bit of a gag ![]()

That's awesome. I had a heck of a time finding an armorsmith on Starsider who could make pink ubese armor...
Yes... you heard me right... its possible...
PINK UBESE.
Supplying unusual colors I think would be a big part and could serve you well if you market it right. Most people don't even realize that anything other then composite comes in an array of colors (I always thought ubese came just in black and white until I sawblue and got curious).

No no, I get what she's saying, talking strictly for roleplay, just a shell of armor that looks the part but doesn't actually do anything and could be worn by anyone. Yea I'd love to be able to do that if the devs would implement it. It would be more akin to clothing than actual armor.
Sorry... I missed the point. I thought she was asking for us to make some.
Yeah. I think people should be able to wear real armor anyway and just pay the penalty if they wanted to.
I'd love to see this implemented (largely because I'm considering going tailor because of the CU changes - at least as a tailor I get some moderate use out of my product.) I loved to mix and match pieces of RIS, maurader, and bounty hunter armor. I had (have) a pair of custom suits that look really sharp. This was what I liked doing more than mass producing composite. Of course I also focused on encumbrance so I could wear them without buffs. Ah, the good old days...

Just a thought I had tonight while discussing our towns Militia uniforms which used to include Mabari Boots and Helmets and Padded Bracers and Gloves. -
Would you AS be opposed to a system where you would basically make the armor, but it would just be the skin (not nearly as many resources)? This "Fashion Armor" would not have resists as they have no cores but would be wearbale by anyone.
As a tailor I often get requests for "fashion armor", it didn't used to be a problem as I had several AS i could pass these folks on to. Now with Certs this cannot happen.
The problem with this is everyone would have to have the certs for battle AND recon armors. Even the boots and gloves require the certs. Sadly the days of decorative armors are gone.
